Worked in the Karaoke industry, with Butterfly Promotions, who provides Karaoke to Hotels and Clubs, along the east coast of NSW, Australia, mainly the south coast and up into Sydney. Being able to sing quite a large number of songs, a variety of genres, I was used to "fill in" "help promote the venues". I did this since 1997. In the beginning, being a small town, I made an impression on the local radio station dj's who gave me a "king of karaoke" tag"
instead of "norman" it became "stormin norman" to this day, when I still get around the local karaoke venues. Over the same period I attended "open mic " nights with muso's at the Clubs and hotels (and back into doing it 2012 ) at the moment singing a lot of country songs, uploading to a site called Reverbnation...username "Stormin Norman"
