You all can call me Gram. I live here in Florida. I don't sing here on singsnap.. So I thought you would enjoy my page featuring my family. All prerecorded stuff done live way back when Paula and Matt where younger! 1989-1999 NEW The Al and Patty Show.. from the old days! And some new stuff.

Matt started singing when he was about 2 yrs old along with the radio and just never stopped.. Paula started playing bass at the age of 32 and needed someone to sing while she played bass as it was hard at first to do both. So she got Matthew (now 6yrs old) to sing the songs while she sat in on jamborees with bands. Like Blackjack, Yankee Jack, Silverwings band Al & Patty Howland Band, Ambush, and the Pony Express Music Association. In 1989 Matt won Jr. Entertainer.
After about 4yrs. Matthew didn't want to sing country music anymore cause the kids would tease him. So he learn to play the drums and he would sit in on guest nights and by this time Paula could sing and play so Matthew would just play the drums..
In 1991 Matt sang on channel 30 cable with the Blackjack Band and entered a talent contest. See the Above and Beyond Video. He did not win but came home with a trophy for youngest.
When Matthew was about 11yrs old and now started singing again, they formed a band called The Country Sunshine Band.. With Lead guitarist Bob and George. They played together about 6yrs for the (MCMAA) Massachusetts Country Music Awards Association and (RCMAA) Rhode Island Country Music Awards Association. Listen to the audio of Jones on the jukebox..
In 1999 they entered the Northeast Invitational Country Showdown. They won Traditional Country Band and Matt won Jr. Entertainer of the Yr.. In 2000 they entered the Northeast Invitational at the Showboat hotel in Vegas. Where they were nominated for many awards.. Country band of the year, Female vocalist, Male vocalist, Jr. Entertainer. Bass player of the year, Lead Guitarist, Drummer of the yr. Etc. Etc. They won Traditional Country Band and Matthew won Youth Male Instrumentalist , Male Entertainer New Country and Traditional Country and Male Vocals Traditional Country. Age 13-16 youth category.
They played on thru the end of 2000 and the band broke up. Paula and Bob moved to Florida and Matt moved to Utah with his dad.. Years later Matt came to Florida but only stayed a year and moved back to Mass. He now lives there and is still singing on singsnap along with Paula and Bob..
