I have loved to sing since I was a kid. I grew up singing with my cousin with an old wire recorded that we would use to record our creations. I sang all through high school with the radio but never joined a chorus or anything. When I was 19 I met a young pastor who introduced me to a personal relationship with God through his son, Jesus Christ. I was immediately involved in their music. I sang with a group called the love notes. I am going to try to find a photo to post on here of that group. Unknown to me a young man from the neighborhood had also just received Christ and joined the group too. The director immediately paired us up to sing a couple of duets in the program which we presented while on a tour of concerts. We started to become good friends and then it progressed from there. We were married on 3-3-73...easy anniversary to remember. We now have two grown children and 4 grandchildren. We led worship at our church for the first 25 years of our marriage as well as being in some musicals, choruses and ensembles. We changed churches in 2004 and did not get involved with music ministry there. instead we became the leaders of the greeter ministry. We have seen our church grow in leaps and bounds in these past 10 plus years. If you think your church is growing too big then maybe your vision for the lost is too small. We are involved in a small bible study group that meets in one of our homes. We like that because we get to feel a part of a small group while a part of a very very large congregation.
I sing because I love music. Thanks for stopping.
I hope we get to be friends.
