I live in Central Scotland and have always enjoyed singing, My father and both of his parents before him trod the amateur theatre boards so I guess that performing is in my blood. I played guitar in a few bands in the 60s and from there I progressed to Male Voice Choirs where I discovered the joy of singing in close harmony. Time passed and like Dad I sang and acted in amateur dramatic societies for 21 years. As my sons grew up I taught my eldest (ChrisBrooks73) to play guitar, and we have performed together at parties, Summer Shows, pubs, Burns' Suppers and the like. My younger son loves singing songs by Queen and is really very good. I appreciate all types of music and especially like watching 'live' performances.
I have 6 grandchildren (with another due in July 2013) and the eldest, Niamh, is taking part in her school production of 'We Will Rock You' next month and with her 16th birthday just reached she can finally join her dad's Amateur Dramatic Society for this year's production of 'Grease'. The musical tradition continues......
