Music can be an important part of our lives, can't it my friends. I was introduced to Sing Snap after coming off a stage at a bluegrass festival in Waldo Florida. Four years prior to that my wife and I bought a motor home and while traveling around happened upon a bluegrass festival in Palatka, Florida. We parked our RV with about four hundred other RV'ers and discovered a whole new world for us. We would wander through the camping areas and find little groups of newly forged friendships sitting and playing their instruments and singing. Wow! They were having such fun. So I decided to pull out my little karaoke machine and set up next to my camper and sing. I don't play an instrument. It really embarrassed my wife. I would get up on the stage when the festivals have their open mike times and was the only karaoke singer on stage. Well, four years later I now have a job at some of the festivals we go to. I am part time Master of Ceremonies and I introduce the bands, get other singers and musicians up on the stage for open mike (non-professional singers like us) and I sing too. What a hoot. I'm sixty years old and entering another fun part of my life. Our two children are grown and married and have two girls each. They miss us when we are gone but they're happy for us too.
Of course in these sixty years I have had many challenges like most of you. Most of us could write books about our lives and laugh and cry through the pages. The songs we sing to each other reveal a host of emotions and can be our path to new dreams and friendships. Thank you for your songs and your words! Greg
