I remember singing "You Are My Sunshine" over the telephone at the age of 4 back in 1942 with my mother to her sister (Aunt Carolyn) with the operator ("Numbah, puh-lee-uz!") listening in and remarking: "Isn't he cute!". My parents met at a local talent show. Dad's trio won first prize while my mother and her two sisters -- singing "The Andrews Sisters"-style -- came in second (They were NOT happy!). I sang in military and civilian choirs, retiring from the Navy after 20 years. Living in Las Vegas now, near our grandchildren.
