I am happy to be here; Sing Snap have been very very good to me!! All my friends call me Koffee, so please feel free to do so!
I am a mother and my children have children (couldn't make myself say the 'G' word ;)I have been Gifted for the Arts; music, painting and drawing, sculpting and woodcarving are a few of the things I enjoy... the Earth, shaping and landscaping and growing things...
Reading everything from Shakspeare to 'Tale of Two Cities' to anything by Stephen King to 'Heavy Metal'... because I LOVE words; I LOVE LANGUAGES!! Each language is like listening to songs from other regions... mellow or excited, fluid or staccato, each is melodic in it's own way...but that means music is a language as well and I have been singing all my life, so feel I speak that one rather fluently.
... And I write... songs poems, strories... whatever is given to my spirit to share! It is my hope that this, fun as it is, will lead to an opportunity to share, at some point, some of these songs.
i'm not famous and I've NEVER been rich (or upper middle class for THAT matter) But GOD has been good to me and I've had no short supply of what I ever truly needed...
THANK YOU, SINGSNAP, FOR MY FIRST WIN!!!

I came here to SingSnap to share and be shared with... and have not been disappointed in THAT regard!! To all of my SS frinds, even the ones I haven't met yet; THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE!!! Thank you for showing us your silly side and your serious... thank you for your kind comments, to me, yes, but much more, to one another: it warms my heart... It seems to be about more than just "doing karaoke", it's about a strange sort of 'ehumanity'. I only hope and pray this trend of words spoken in love and graciousness will extend beyond these 'cyberwalls'!
I once helped manage a faith-based not-for-profit coffeehouse called "Genesis House"; their slogan was "COFFEE, TEA and CONVERSATION"... it was a place designed to promote and facilitate diversity and communication between ALL people no matter what their race, creed, color, nationality, socio-economic background, religious preference, gender preference, or any of the other possible thing that the human race uses to separate itself. a place where people of all levels of talent could take the stage and the Mic and express (within the bounds of reason and respect, of course) whatever was on their hearts and minds. This would be accepted graciously, gratefully and supportively, regardless of whatever level of "talent" a person might have.
I felt more at home there than any other place in my life...
...this site feels A LOT like that...
