Sing Through The Decades Challenge

Hello… This is Stephen better known on Sing Snap as Teddypossum and you know Rose Marie known in Snapland as Pocketcage. We generally do run contests every now and then, but life has had us going in umpteen directions lately & well time just is not there to run one the way we like to run them, so I decided I would put on this challenge & see how many folks out there in Snapland are up to the challenge.

So if you love music as much as I do, and you feel up to a challenge, here is what you need to do!!
You can do a mini challenge or go for all the marbles and do the monster challenge, banners go to all who complete a challenge section and a certificate of accomplishment to anyone who can successfully complete the whole enchilada!


You can do any of the mini-challenges by singing one song that was released each year of a decade.
1950-59 or 1960-69 or 1970-79 or 1980-89 or 1990-99 or 2000-2011 that is TEN song per challenge except for the last one, which is TWELVE songs. You complete one of those & you get a banner for that challenge.

Or you may complete the Monster Challenge, which you will have sung one song 1950 thru 2011 & get that extra banner/certificate to go along with you mini challenge banners!

There are a few rules to follow… you will need to make a playlist of your songs in order from oldest to newest & have the YEAR OF THE SONG in the description on the song. If you are blue and cannot do a playlist, send me an IM with all the links to your songs & I will do one up for you and post it.
You must only record the song from that year & it must be the same singer’s version for that year, if the song is available on Snap, but by another performer, you can’t use it.

The link above is for 1960 songs, you change the year in the link to what you want to browse thru when looking for a song.

Hey Steve, hate that the Rays lost, but still fun to go out and soak in the atmosphere of a ballpark. :)

I'll be getting some listens in today, as well as deciding the decade I want. I tried on the 70's yesterday, but finding one is harder than I thought...as Steve mentioned in the intro.

Hi Rose Marie. I already checked the songs from 1950...SS has 4, I think. There's gonna be a lot of 'Mona Lisa' & 'Tennessee Waltz' - HA HA.
When you think of all the songs recorded in any given year currently, it is almost impossible to think that there were only that many songs recorded back then...SHANDEBEL
