I had rebooted but it occurred to me that I should try rebooting the router and the modem. That worked.

Guess what, everyone. I just got this in my email from the Adobe forum where I posted about this problem.

So confirmed it's on their end. I never doubted that since Rob said they were sure, but I understand about only having the problem in SS, peace. Hmmmm. I still have video and working fine in IE even if IE is slow as a turtle for me with pages loading. lol

Concerning this, I just got an alert that adobe flash player has an update available, I clicked "remind me later" I want to make sure before I install it that this is the update that will fix things.

Just wanted to let you know that Chrome 15 (currently 15.0.874.106 m) was released today - dunno if it makes any difference to the jumping issues yet as I haven't been able to try out... but it's quite nifty! :D Doesn't 'appear' as jumpy on practice mode... but then maybe I'm sitting at a quiet time?

You can update Chrome via the settings spanner up top, then click about Chrome and it automatically searches for updates :) I went through a few!

I can't believe this...I couldn't record in firefox or chrome because of the jumping, and now IE is doing the same thing!!! Nothing was wrong for me in IE til today.

Well, guess what? after I posted that I clicked on the tools to see what verison of Chrome I had and a box came up that said "installing new version." Really taking a long time to install

Well, it's still jumping! Maybe it doesn't install the new adobe automatically and that's why I get the adobe update thingy. lol Afraid to do anything now lol All three browsers are acting up

It does take a long time to install, and check again after you do it - it may look for more updates and do it again. I had three in all.

You mean yours isn't jumping anymore? it said the chrome was up to date.

I can't tell you if it is jumping on record yet as I'm having a problem with my ISP and buffering all round... so I wouldn't even dare to risk it, LOL but I can say, when I updated just after it, seemed smoother...

Not right now though, seriously, I think this will be a wait and see thing. Many friends who do not use the forum/noticeboards are jumping too so it is all over the place, not just one or two of us. :)

Patience is a virtue they say. I was rather hopeful, but I haven't seen any more flash updates you mention for me yet. We will just have to all take something for hiccups...

heheeh well, it's frustrating to me because only two of my friends noticed any jumping on theirs. Most don't even know what I'm talking about. I was able to record on IE up until this morning. I was showing as using adobe flash player 10. Now it says it's using 11! all three browsers are jumping around. grrrr.

I am not patient at all. lol I jump around a lot on my videos depending on the song. That's just me. lol I have bad knees and circulation so I move everything from the butt up. hahaha

If only we knew where the jumps came in, then we could synchronise and make it look purposeful... :D

lol yeah...choreography, Cerebraljam? Hey, wanted to let everyone know, I followed the instructions on page one of this thread that Rob left for uninstalling 11 and installing 10. I used the internet explorer installer and the other one so now I have firefox and internet explorer that are now "jumping free" lol

Chrome will not uninstall 10 because they have their own version of the flash player.Rob said it's possible to uninstall 11 and go back to 10 on it, but it's real pain in the butt. lol Chrome will keep up with the updates so since they said in the adobe forum they know about the problem and the fix will be in their next update, all we can do is keep checking chrome and if it stops jumping, then they fixed it.

Reminder. If you do install 10 when you get alerts to update the flash player don't do it or it will update to 11 again and the jumping will be back.

A couple parts are a little tricky and I'm not exactly sure how to explain what I did, but I figured if I screwed up too badly I could just go to adobe and get the 11 version again even if it does jump around. lol

I've not tried to do a vid since all my last vid's jumped...been doing audio only and waiting for the fix for Adobe 11...I'm using IE9 will stay with what I know :) not getting into a can of worms with more issues..just waiting patiently and I'm not really all that patient.

Singing Sis..I registered also with Adobe and can't find the subject you posted..is it in the forum or did you send them an email ...if you posted in the forum...could you post the link please...

Hi Singing Sis....it's not the same forum thread...I did come across yours while searching...the verdict right at this point is...a fix is coming out..so at this point all we can do is wait on the Adobe people to get it out to the public.

Yes, peace. I posted that on page one, but I got sick of waiting so I braved the instructions that Rob left on how to uninstall 11 and re-install 10. Now I have IE and Firefox that work without jumping. I still have my favorites and that bookmark bar, etc.in chrome, so anything I do on the net I still use chrome except for recording in SS.

Just checking...still no fix from the Adobe People...I'm going to try a patch from the thread I posted earlier on this thread..the fix is supposed to fix freezing which when I try to do a vid it freezes now..but the patch is also supposed to fix other known issues..will let you know if it works :)

This is most likely related to the new Flash Player 11 update. Adobe is working on a fix, but they don't currently have one yet. There is a temporary fix that you can do. I'll link you to a thread with some more info on this.

I did this today Rob...but it has not worked....still getting jumps...although not as much as yesterday...what concerns me though...is the amount of lagging.....

Nope....nothing new...and I did what you said...reverted to 10.3 following your steps....it still jumps and lags....and weird...in preview...its perfect!...

However....I run my cam through Manycam when I'm recording...so I am wondering if that could be contributing to the lagging?.......

You could have left in the part that I said that SS has more features ;) I'm waiting for the fix from the Adobe people and check each day..if I find it will post here in this thread.

I uninstalled the Adobe 11 and installed the older 10 version and then it started freezing and crashing...My PC is a compaq which came with Windows Vista 32 bit and I use IE9,at one point used google chrome.., have enabled java script..so at this point there's nothing to do but wait on the Adobe Fix !

Rob....that new update....has totally effed up all my settings....

Can you give me a link to get rid of it?.....is it the same link I used to take 11 away and replace it with 10.3?........

I tried this....but the wizard still thinks I'm using the beta one......It says it at the bottom of the blue wizard box......the improved wizard won't work for me...it keeps stalling at step 4....and I can't record on either recorder...it just keeps coming up saying connection failed........

I had none of these problems before I installed the beta flash.......but I can't seem to get things back to the way they were before I installed it now :(

I did all of that Rob...it didn't help...the site still thinks I have the beta one....even though I replaced it....in the wizard...it says it at the bottom..

This all happened on Firefox...and I can't get it back to the way it was before...and the netbook I use to record dosn't like chrome...so I had to download safari..LOL!...

Seriously though...took me hours to try and fix this....I just kept getting connection failed every time...and yet....I could play them...just not record them....weird!!

Hey, I just did two songs in Chrome without it skipping. That one still had 11 installed. So does that mean adobe updated?

I uninstalled the beta version and reinstalled the regular 11 flash player ..will try it and see if it works..still using IE9 and have windows vista.

I'm Using the regular Adobe Flash Player 11...and regular SS wizard and regular recorder...for now.. no jumping and skipping or freezing...only thing I can see is pixels..but I've always had that problem and I move around lot's sometimes when recording which makes the pixelation worse.

Seems it's just trying things and eliminating things and then when it's all done...can't say just what I did that helped ;)

I checked yesterday to see if there was any fixes for the latest version..but couldn't find anything and the last post I could find was on 11-11-11...so not sure if Adobe has got a fix now or not.
