Is Rebel Your Middle Name?

We are now advancing into Week 3 of our fall sensation - Rocktober! Last week we got our groove on and celebrated the Young Years of Rock N Roll. The genre was still developing but once it hit the 70's it came out full force in a crazy rebellious manner. Women began jumping into the scene, hair got bigger, pants got longer and songs got edgier! It's time to show SingSnap how rebellious YOU can be.

Your Challenges:

Your challenge this week will consist of two parts. Please successfully complete both parts to ensure your submission for week three is accepted. This week we are going to ask you to step it up a bit - so please read closely!

Early Sign-Up:

That's right, this week we want you to show your interest in participating ahead of time. If you want to play on Friday, then sign the thread and select one of the following options:

Cam Option One: To be revealed Thursday night.
Cam Option Two: To be revealed Thursday night.

Audio Option One: To be revealed Thursday night.
Audio Option Two: To be revealed Thursday night.

Deadline For Early Sign-Up: 5 PM EST - Thursday October 14, 2010. (Please remember which option you selected).

On Thursday, October 14, 2010 we will make a video and thread announcement, outlining what both parts of your challenge will be - so sign-up and stay tuned! (If you join us late, there will be a late-comers challenge too - do not despair!)

The more fabulous and creative your performance, the better your chances are of being featured! This week you are vying for the third piece of your Rock band...

The Keyboard!

The banners will be dropped and token awarded by Monday, following each challenge. Please check the SingSnap Events Profile on Monday to ensure you got your token! If you did not, send us a message and we will look into it!

Rules & Guidelines:

1. The Challenge is open from 12:00 AM EST until 11:59 PM EST Friday October 15, 2010! (Your song MUST be dated October 15th to be eligible)
2. Using the Duets/Harmony function is not allowed.
3. Gender Benders are acceptable
4. You MUST have FUN! Yep, this still stands :)
5. Post your challenge link back in this thread.
6. Web cams are encouraged but not required.
7. Challenge is open to all members.
8. Only one song per Snapper.
9. Promotion of non-challenge songs is strictly prohibited.
10. If there is a written Part B, it must appear in your recording comment section.
11. The song must be submitted in the following format.

All accepted entries will be added to a playlist and updated on this thread periodically throughout the day!

Please Note: If you decide to sing a 'licensed" song (lic), that there are regional restrictions in place and your song may not to be visible to Snappers in North America. This will decrease the potential amount of views/comments you receive dramatically and your song will not be added to the playlist until Monday when our British volunteer returns (Jules). Thanks for your understanding - we just wanted to give you the heads up!

It's Time To Use Your Diamond Sun!

I know those who hold the coveted Diamond Sun from Summerfest's Last Hurrah are anxious to hear what sort of advantage it is going to bring them for Rocktober!

Well Stay tuned on Thursday! When we announce this weeks challenges, we will also let you know how you can make the Diamond Sun work for you!

Please Note: The Diamond Suns have already been awarded from a past challenge and will not be awarded again until next Summer :)
