I hope Snap will consider awarding prizes again, months of gold and such, perhaps in a drawing open to those "SingSnapStars" who have participated almost every week.
Or give away merch! I know you have a lot of SingSnap dog sweaters you need to move... and there are a lot of cold doggies in winter.
BTW, I sure would like to see a webcam singing (howling?) dog on here wearing a SingSnap sweater. Anybody got a link? (I think I just moved some product for you.;)

This sounds like fun, definitely..I remember when I built my first snowman in NYC I was too little, short to reach the top and so with a little help from my dad after he had placed the three snow balls accordingly he left for work, and I was too young to really know better so I placed the two coals and the carrot on the first snowball at the bottom, needless to say you can imagine what people must have thought as they walked past until dad came back from work and realized what I'd done, chuckled to himself and replaced them back onto the top snowball along with the scarf..it was not till a few years later I realized what that looked like...LOL

Hip Hip Horray, Winterfest Is On Its Way!
Let's rid those Winter blues and celebrate in seasonal bliss with wacky winter challenges, silly songs and crazy comments - Winterfest Style!
Four Weeks? Or Ten?!
Winterfest is slated to run every Friday for four weeks - starting January 7, 2011! Then, depending on whether Punxsutawney Phil the Groundhog sees his shadow on Groundhog Day (February 2nd), it could be extended an additional six weeks!
Each week a new thread will be posted inviting you to participate. Please look for Trevor's videos and links on this thread so you don't miss a week! If you successfully complete the challenge your song will be added to a playlist and you will receive a banner on your song!
Do I Get To Collect Anything?
For those of you who participated in Summerfest or Rocktober, you may remember each week you also got to collect an item- whether it be a sun token or a band piece! Well Winterfest is no different!
Decorate Your Snowman!
*Gasp* Your snowman is looking a bit undressed! Make sure you come back each week and cover him up! The first four weeks, we'll be giving out the essentials so stay tuned for your chance to get some eyes, hat, mouth and carrot nose!

Every Monday we will be posting an updated file of the participants and their standing on the SingSnap Events Profile, so that you can follow along with us!

Do You Want To Be A Snap Star?
The highly coveted Snap Star tag is up for grabs! Participate in all four challenges for a chance to become a Snap Star! You will also receive a funky Participation banner for your profile and maybe a chance to win something else!*
The More You Participate - The More You Can Win!
1. All banners/prizes will be awarded after Winterfest has been completed! (Except for the individual weekly banners)
2. This challenge is open to every member of the site.
3. Webcams are encouraged but not required.
4. Zero tolerance rule for drama will be enforced strictly.
5. A new thread will be posted for each Friday.
6. A new SingSnap Winterfest playlist will be created for each week.
7. A song must be entered into the specified thread to be considered.
8. You can join in as many and as few of the challenges as you desire.
9. Post your link only once.
10. If you have any questions about anything, send a message to the SingSnap Events Team.
11. Only Fresh Recordings only.
12. Each challenge will have a specific set of instructions for recording/submission procedures. Read Carefully.
13. Promotion of non-challenge songs is strictly prohibited.
