Hello my friend.. there are many different ways of doing this and it depends on your style..but I did my best to help people do this as easy as I could think of... and if you take time to read and use tools i developed in this thread.. it may turn out to be useful for you.. I hope so..
:please refer to this thread below and read down a few posts until you find where It is displayed a "black" background..and then explanation on how to add your own Background ... if you continue to read through the forum it will explain other details perhaps useful to you!

I have been sifting through the different pages trying to make sense out of all the codes.
There are some really pretty pages here.
I would like to know how to design my own. I know it is probably here somewhere but it is not clear to me.
Can someone spoon feed it to me?
Do I use HTML code or direct links to create this and if so what do i add to it.
