RIP Charlie Daniels ~ Legendary Long Haired Country Boy

Australia Day, 26 January, is the day to reflect on what
it means to be Australian, to celebrate contemporary
Australia and to acknowledge Australia history.

I am not Australian but I should be , I know as much about Australia as I do America. it was always a dream of my sister and I to travel there . I had a dream to live there for the rest of my life . Maybe someday I will make it over ... Until then I will celebrate each year with them , and I will remember the things I love most about Aus. !!

About Australia day traditions and lifestyle :
On Australia Day we celebrate all the things we love about Australia: land, sense of fair go, lifestyle, democracy, the freedoms we enjoy but particularly our people.

Australia Day is about acknowledging and celebrating the contribution that every Australian makes to our contemporary and dynamic nation. From our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people - who have been here for more than 65,000 years - to those who have lived here for generations, to those who have come from all corners of the globe to call our country home.
The marking of 26 January is an important date in Australia's history and has changed over time: starting as a celebration for emancipated convicts and evolving into what is now a celebration of Australia that reflects the nation's diverse people.

Australia Day continues to be hugely popular, with 3 in 4 Australians believing it has a bigger meaning beyond being just a day off.

More than half of all Australians participate in Australia Day attending events organized by State Governments, local councils, community groups or getting together with family and friends. In addition, over 16,000 new Australians become citizens on Australia Day.

Hey! Awesome tribute! I really enjoyed reading the information here, as I know very little about the Country but I have met several people who reside there, here on SingSnap. Those people are really fun, and I have always wondered what it is that makes it seem to be so common, among them. Every Country should know the secret to what makes those Aussies such a happy, friendly bunch. Who doesn't like to surround themselves with love and laughter? However, I am way to big of a puss to be going to a country with all of the venomous creatures they are home to. The only Busch I want to see, comes in a can. LOL Cheers! Happy Australia DAY!
