Well.. think about it.. Crows run screaming when they see straw stuffed polyester pants (scary all on their own) and shirts.

This is cool. Do they leave that light shining on them all night? I'd think that would mess with their circadian rhythms, or something.

According to the article, the eggs are laid on different days, so they are still expecting the third to hatch in a couple days.

It goes to infra red at night so as not to bother the Eagles. We watched them all night last night.
Have a great evening/morning everyone.

Edited reply by Sum_Southern_Sugar

yes, the 3rd may hatch in a day or so, but it will have scant chance to mop up the food from the bigger, more adept eaglets

sad, but that's how nature works

i find it cool that these top of the chain predators are so delicate when they are offering the catch of the day bits to the babies.

the egg has a major crack in it. i hope that means it's hatching.

Mama is calling for Daddy to come for his shift I think... or trying to get something's attention...

There's another cam I just saw in the "recommended live shows" that's an eagle cam... there's 3 unhatched eggs in that nest that I could see when the adult stood up to readjust and roll the eggs

Fish for supper. Looks like they brought in a possum? I see a long ratlike tail.

darn Roo - it's a 'Ustream' feed.

i have found that sometimes different sites are available in one country, but not another, for whatever reason.

Sum_Southern_Sugar

Reply by Sum_Southern_Sugar

i dunno lolly

i don't think that egg is gonna hatch and even if it does, i can't see a good future for the lil chick in there. it will be way to small and unable to peck up enough food at the feedings.

sad - but that's how natural selection works.

They've had three babies before and spread over about the same amount of time (births) and all fledged. Don't count the little egg out just yet.

It's been a quiet night. Mom has gotten some sleep and the babies have pocked their heads out and looked around a few times. But all in all, mom hasn't had to be "alert" all night like she was the other night.
Good morning everyone.
