What is ManyCam?
- Use your webcam with multiple programs simultaneously.
- Add text to your webcam video window with any application.
- Add cool animations to your video window.
- Show your local day and date in your video window.
- Add live CGI graphics like fire and water effects. You can even make it appear as if it is snowing inside your house!

You will have to run the singsnap wizard to make "manycams" appear as the camera that you have selected.

Another thing I will note
When you set up manycams,you will have to select the webcam or video file,picture,or slideshow being used.
Go to the "sources" tab and use the drop down box to select your webcam( red arrow )

AS you can see there are many available sources
You can play videos into the singsnap recorder by selecting the "movies" button and locate the video file that is stored on your computer.Create slideshows,or insert a photo.

For members without a webcam,you can still use this program to create slide shows or put videos or pictures in the singsnap recorder.

There are other Camera programs out there that can be used in singsnap
Perhaps some other members have some input and suggestions.

Have managed to apply a few live Videos to a few of my singsnap songs using webcams.com....frustrating,but managed!.....check out "Last Waltz" on my recent page using a Video cli

I have a Logitech orbit sphere AF cam and I can't get the video effects to work with s.s. flash player. I have internet explorer and chrome and it won't work with either one.
I have a Dell inspiron 560 computer with windows 7.
I have installed the latest Logitech software and still can't get it to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated,

I have the exact same camera...I have the same problem,so I only use the camera...I think it's got something to do with 'I explore'..it's a good camera tho'......you do get the tools for adjusting color,focus,etc don't you?

(WebCamMax)...In the past when I added a movie video to my song it ran just as a movie video should...now when I add a movie video it runs jerkerly frame to frame with 2 or 3 frames per second...I wonder what caused the change...anyone know...Thanks....Campbell

I have done some earlier Recordings with ManyCam®, but be advised that it is resolution-limited to 352x288px@15fps when laying down a Recording here at SingSnap®. Adobe® Flash™ 10.3 reports two video sources from ManyCam® 2.6: "ManyCam Virtual Webcam," and "ManyCam Video Source."

Several video Recordings that I tracked as entries for the first K-contests at MuzikDriven® got their videos from earlier versions of ManyCam®, which I used as a simple CG (viz., character generator) and mixer/switcher.

I've been using the same mic for several years now...a cheap dynamic one from Radio Shack. I would like to buy a new one.. I've been looking online and see all types and some are soooo expensive. Can someone please give me some advice on a good mic without spending a ton of money on it...I would be willing to spend up to 250.00... I've heard condenser mics have great sound but again, there are so many...I'm lost in my search..lol All help is much appreciated !!

Hello,,,,,,,,just reading about web cams,and as you know i have a microsoft webcam and it works on every site like Skype,Yahoo,and was on SingSnap to since 2011 but suddenly its only frozen what can i do i have done the Wizard scan ?

Unplug the webcam from the computer and run the setup wizard again - be sure to click the "clear settings" button on the first page of the setup wizard.

After running the wizard plug the cam back in and hopefully it'll work for you.

I unplugged my microsoft cam,ran the Wizard like you said than cleared it ,,,
Plugged my cam back and redid a scan saw my cam light function and my picture there was frozen. cannotsing24

I have downloaded Many Cam. I get the audio alright but every time I try to connect to the manycam for video it comes up saying my webcam is being used by another program and Manycam cannot connect. Can anyone help me? I don't know of any other program it could be using. Could someone be tapped into my camera?? Thanks for any help.

Can I ask how to get rid of the fuzziness on my web cam...it is not showing up when I use it to skype but when I record...I look like a blur bunny....

do I need to upgrade to the latest Adobe Player to remove this fuzzy mess.

Denise,
There are a number of things that may be limiting the quality of video in your recordings. Since you seem to be getting good results with skype it's more likely a settings problem rather than a camera one.

Many cameras have settings that control the resolution and frame rate going into the computer. The Adobe recorder must convert that to it's format. There can be a compatibility issue resulting in poor video. Also, the different conversions from varying settings cause a difference in the work load of the computer processor. Depending on computer speed, some may not be able to make a quality conversion of all the possible variations. It can be helpful to shut down all unneeded programs while recording. And the Adobe Flash for one browser is different for another browser; one may work better than the other for your system.

Suggestions:
Try different settings for the camera control.
Shut down unneeded programs while recording.
Try recording with different browsers.
Right click on the SS recorder and from the popup menu select "Quality" then "High".

OK..thank you for these suggestions...so should I try to travel thru Windows vs Chrome...and do I need to upgrade the Adobe Player...they keep popping up to try to upload the new version. Some on this thread said it causes sound issues for them...

I loved manycam that I installed several years ago,but the upgraded version seems to require more and says you have to buy PRO. I have the uploaded version but it takes a while to load all the pics,etc. I really do not like it at all. I don't know if the older version is there to d/load again. Mine kept freezing so I thought it might have been bugged so that we upgrade. I know it's free,but If problems still happen,what the hay??? Frustrating,and still have issues with the new Flash player. It is working some but now and then it crashes.

Why can't these programs for us to use,just stop changing everything! Maybe Singsnap needs to look at other flash players that might be even better for us??

Hi Joy,
I have the same trouble. I have a HP laptop with windows 8 on it. It seems to use the true vision cam as a default and won't communicate with manycam. I also have YouCam that was pre installed and I uninstalled manycam, am trying to use YouCam but now when I go through the set up wizard it won't show any webcam. I shutdown and restarted computer. I am going to clear all my settings and try again. Frustrating, and no I don't have any answers for you. It is just that it seems we are having the same difficulties
