Uploading Recorded Songs

Unfortunately, we can't allow that due to licensing and copyright issues. The tracks we provide must be used and our recorder must be used. We don't have the ability to allow you to upload your own tracks because we must hold the rights for all tracks used on the site.

Many of the syncing issues were related to the Original recorder. The Improved recorder (right now you can choose either one when recording) handles syncing in a different and more efficient manner. I think you'll find the Improved recorder is very easy to use and should work very well for you.

If you do have any trouble with sync we'd be happy to help you troubleshoot. Just send us a message from the Contact Us link at the bottom of any SingSnap page.

I persoonally don't LIKE the "new improved" recorder. I saw this morning when recording SingSnap is "phasing it out". Story of my life always fixing what ain't broke leaving me with no choice but to either take whats there or leave it. I just may leave it..... I have tried the "new recorder" several times and upon listening to my recording, the lyrics across the screen are always late.....and are behind my voice. By time the lyrics catch up I'm already SINGING the next page.......
I know you can control the speed of the lyrics....but that is while you are recording. That isn't the problem. It's AFTER the recording and then it's too late you can't control the lyrics with the timing of the music/song/recording.
I just don't like it. The original recorder doesn't do this. I have no problem with the original recorder. Everyone has their own preference and right now members can CHOOSE. As a paying Gold Member......why is the choice being phased out? I like being able to choose and I always choose the Original Recorder. So if I could continue to do that..........and SingSnap implement ECHO controls............I would have a Karaoke Party goin on!!!

I listened/viewed some of your latest recordings and the lyrics are displaying on the screen correctly here.

I suspect the HTML or graphics on the page (aka pimping of the page) may be cause this - see if disabling the HTML code helps with the display of the lyrics.

Another thing to try is to disable hardware acceleration in Adobe Flash - right-click in the playback window, choose settings - then the Adobe Flash Settings box will appear - click on the 1st icon and uncheck hardware acceleration.

One thing as a recording-support volunteer is to help folks with their sound and I'd highly recommend to review the tutorials for reducing/eliminating hiss in your recordings so they sound even better
