Thanks so much to everyone willing to sponsor other members. I would be truly grateful for even one month gold membership. I had a trial but it ran out and well, here's the condensed version:
When I signed up for my free trial I intended on having a one year membership paid up at the $80 price point but then we had a house fire and the $80 birthday money I had saved from my mom went to replace necessities for my kids instead. SingSnap is basically the one way I'm keeping my sanity through all this. To be able to join contests and make friends and blow off steam and sing basically any song I want and unwind has been a blessing through a very hard time. My kids love to hear my do my recordings and know that Momma's been a lot happier lately and I have SingSnap to thank for that.

I lost my gold sponsor and I searching frantically for a new one. I'm a 66 year old disabled veteran with extremely limited income and could really use some help. There are contests for talent but none based on need. I'm not a great singer but I love to sing and that one of the few things I can still do. I don't want to loose my gold so I hear swallowing my pride and begging for help please????

I was searching around to see what Patrons and sponsors do. When I went to the very first page and started reading, I thought "wow....now this is such a wonderful and lovely, sweet gesture!" Then I kept reading, and for some strange reason, I knew that somehow the thread would turn into something ugly before long...dispite the efforts which were intended. It had to do with "begging" and so forth. I nearly cried. I was gold for a long time on here and my health recently began to fail due to a muscle disease attempting to come out of remission, so I couldn't pay my fee to remain gold. Someone who has heard me, read my profile and happened to like my voice turned me back gold again, and stated in a PM that she knew my heart was good and that she felt that one day, when I was able, I would pay it forward. Just about 20 minutes before I came in here and started to read, I did just that and sponsored 3 people. Why? Because someone else showed me that kindness and didn't have to. That person made me smile and tears of happiness came along with it. We sing because there is something inside that wants and needs to get out and we express it through and by singing. I thank God there are sweet, caring people who go the extra mile to keep singers smiling and feeling good about themselves, the site and an door to friendships. Thank you to the young lady who started this thread. Thank you to everyone who defends her efforts, and last but not least, THANK YOU to the ones who give the gift of gold to someone so they too can enjoy the benefits of all SS has to offer (and just keeps quiet about it to avoid embarassing anyone!) These people are singing angels and you are appreciated!
