Rocktober Week Five - The Final Chapter!

Our Final Week of Rocktober is before us! 90's Rock to Present is a big mixture of alternative styles and classic flair. It's a little bit funny and a little bit scary and this week's challenge aims to provoke those exact emotions!

Your Challenges:

Your challenge this week will consist of three parts. Please successfully complete all three parts to ensure your submission for week five is accepted. In the spirit of Halloween, we want to see some seriously fabulous costumes and hear some terrifyingly spooky voices! If you're not into the Halloween thing - no problem! We still want to see you get creative, silly and most importantly - have fun!

Part One: Song Challenge!

Commencing at 12:00 AM (midnight) on October 29, 2010 - sing any song from the Feature Page. The song must be dated October 29, 2010 to be considered. You can choose any song you wish and it does not have to relate to Part 2 or 3.

Part Two: Cam/Audio Challenge!

Cam Users: We want to see a Halloween costume! Witches, Vampires, Kittens and Clowns! Anything and everything! All you've got to do is sport your costume and get creative! If you don't do Halloween, then play Dress-Up! You can dress-up like absolutely anything you want! Just have fun!

Audio Users: We want to hear you cackle! Either make us shiver in our boots or laugh our heads off with your signature cackle. Your cackle must appear at the very start of your song! Make it memorable!

Part Three: Written Challenge!

In the song comment section of your recording (from Part 1) You must answer the following question.

What Rock artist (of any era) do you consider to be most like yourself And WHY ? We're not 'just' talking in appearance or voice (though of course those too) but in mannerisms, life philosophy, character, etc.,! Who in the Rock world most reminds you of - YOU! Don't forget to tell us WHY! We want to learn about you AND your chosen rock star!

Please Remember:

We want to see some fabulous performances - so get creative! This week you are singing for the fifth and final piece of your rock band...

The banners will be dropped and tokens awarded by Monday, following each challenge. Please check the SingSnap Events Profile on Monday to ensure you got your token! If you did not, send us a message and we will look into it!

For all of our successful 'Snap-Stars', your name will change colour in November!

Rules & Guidelines:

1. The Challenge is open from 12:00 AM EST until 11:59 PM EST Friday October 29, 2010! (Your song MUST be dated October 29th to be eligible)
2. Using the Duets/Harmony function IS allowed this week. Have fun with it!
3. Gender Benders are acceptable
4. You MUST have FUN! Yep, this still stands
5. Post your challenge link back in this thread.
6. Web cams are encouraged but not required.
7. Challenge is open to all members.
8. Only one song per Snapper. (Unless completing the Bonus Challenge)
9. Promotion of non-challenge songs is strictly prohibited.

Please Note:

If you decide to sing a 'licensed" song (lic), that there are regional restrictions in place and your song may not to be visible to Snappers in North America. This will decrease the potential amount of views/comments you receive dramatically and your song will not be added to the playlist until Monday when our British volunteer returns (Jules). Thanks for your understanding - we just wanted to give you the heads up!

Final Bonus Challenge

You've yelled, kicked and screamed - so we decided to listen! We are having one last bonus challenge for those folks out there who have missed a week. Please read all the instructions carefully to learn how to claim your missing band piece! Keep in mind, this is ONLY for people who have missed a week and want to earn their missing band token!

The Challenge Options:

We have developed two possible challenges for you to complete. You must only complete ONE in order to claim your band token. Only ONE token can be claimed total.

Spooky & Funny Bone Bonus Challenges

90's Rock was full of rebellions! It was a little bit crazy, a little bit funny and sometimes a little bit scarey! This bonus challenge is designed to see bring out both sides of our seriously spirited Snappers!

Spooky Challenge:

If you elect to do the Spooky Challenge you will be required to sing one of the following songs:

Monster Mash,
The Devil Went Down To Georgia
A Nightmare On My Street

Then you must either:

A - Dress up in your best, most entertaining Halloween costume! (The costume doesn't have to be scarey) Please Note: If you dress-up, it has to be on cam hehe

-OR-

B - Recite the following spell in your a spookiest voice!

Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the caldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and caldron bubble.

Funny Bone Challenge:

If you elect to do the Funny Bone Challenge you will be required to sing one of the following songs:

Eat It
Little Red Riding Hood
Hip Hop To Honky Tonk

Then you must either:

A - Play Dress-Up and show us how silly and creative you can be! (Just wear a costume in the spirit of fun!) Please Note: If you dress-up, it has to be on cam hehe

-OR-

B - Laugh hysterically for the first 30 seconds of the song! (Even if the song starts, you must keep laughing until the 30 seconds are complete).
