Good morning! The finished recording (the one you post) must be a fresh recording of a song on the feature page but you CAN duet that song with one of your friends who has it in their archives as long as the song is a featured one. Hope that helps!

One Last Friendly Hurrah!
You may have noticed the little smiley emoticons floating around the site for the month of July! They were part of SingSnap's Month of Friendship campaign. We decided to take the month out with a bang and do one last big celebration to give shout outs to all of our past, present and future SingSnap Friends! Join us in this one day duet challenge!
The Challenge!
One of the best things about SingSnap is meeting people from across the globe. People who quickly become a part of your virtual family who you may not have otherwise had a chance to meet, hadn't it been for this site. Today, we want you to embrace friendships, new and old and sing as many duets as you possibly can!
The Duet Friendship Challenge: Sing as many songs from Feature Page as your heart desires and submit them to this thread! The only catch? They must be duets!
Either scan the Watch & Listen Page and find people to sing with! OR check out the Feature Record Page, find a song and once you open the recorder scroll down to where it says "Click here to listen to how other members have performed this song". Find someone from that list you want to sing with, record the song and submit it back to this thread!
Please Note: The song does not have to be a traditional duet. Harmonize with someone, (or even yourself), turn a song into a duet - get creative! Just sing with people!
How Many Duets Can We Do?
Do you think we can get 500 duets? Maybe 750? How about 1000? No, let's set a goal to reach 1,500 duets! Are you up for the challenge? It's time to show the world that SingSnap isn't just the best karaoke website on the planet, it's also the largest virtual family in existence!
Rules And Guidelines:
1. The Challenge is open from 12:00 AM EST until 11:59 PM EST Monday July 30, 2012! (Your song MUST be dated July 30 to be eligible)
2. Duets are mandatory! You may also duet with yourself!
3. Gender Benders are acceptable
4. You MUST have FUN! Fun, Fun, Fun!
5. Post your challenge link back in this thread.
6. Web cams are encouraged but not required.
7. Challenge is open to all members.
8. Sing as many songs as you possibly can!
9. Promotion of non-challenge songs is strictly prohibited.
10. Post your link only once. If you think we missed it, send a private message to the Events Team!
11. The song must be submitted in the following format.
