Good afternoon everyone...For the letter "P" I've selected a song recorded by Peter Paul and Mary called "Blowin in the Wind" This song was popular in the 60's a time of turmoil and civil protests about the War in Vietnam. The brunt of the anger was directed at our gallant men and woman in uniform serving to protect their right to protest. This song is a song of protest not against our soldiers but rather those who make the ultimate decision to place our soldiers in harms way.

..or sing any song where the first letter of
the first word of the song title or first letter of the first or
last name of the artist begins with one of these letters:
A,S,P,C,A

OR SING ONE OF THESE SONGS THAT WAS A HIT ON THIS DATE:

This is how it works:
Each day I will post a theme
You sing songs based on that theme and post them to the message board
You can either sing a song fresh that day or post a prerecord that you have that fits the theme. Also any duets, open duets, harmonies, group sings ..may be posted as long as they fit the theme.

PLEASE NOTE..This portion is strictly enforced. We ask that you listen and comment to three other people who have posted on that day's theme. This rule applies for each song you post to the theme. So if you post 3 songs you then must listen and comment on nine others that have posted. So in essence the more you post the more you listen. Also try to spread your listens around to different members of the group. Don't listen to the same people day in and day out. Give everyone a chance to be heard. Lately this has been an issue in the club of folks not listening to others. Folks who do not follow this rule will be subject to removal from the club.

You are more than welcome to sing and post as many songs as you wish according to the theme. Only 2 songs will be included in the official list that Peter updates. We encourage members to listen and comment on songs posted to the official list first..and then if you have extra time go to the extra songs. Also please take some time to listen to folks who post later on in the theme since we cannot all be here at the time of the theme's posting.

Today's theme words come from the 'Ten Commandments for a Responsible Dog Owner' found here:
http://www.alterpet.org/pet_poems.htm#Ten Commandments for a Responsible Dog Owner
