This is how it works:

You sing songs based on that theme and post them to the message board
You can either sing a song fresh that day or post a prerecord that you have that fits the theme. Also any duets, open duets, harmonies, group sings ..may be posted as long as they fit the theme.

PLEASE NOTE..This portion is strictly enforced. We ask that you listen and comment to three other people who have posted on that day's theme. This rule applies for each song you post to the theme. So if you post 3 songs you then must listen and comment on nine others that have posted. So in essence the more you post the more you listen. Also try to spread your listens around to different members of the group. Don't listen to the same people day in and day out. Give everyone a chance to be heard. Lately this has been an issue in the club of folks not listening to others. Folks who do not follow this rule will be subject to removal from the club.

You are more than welcome to sing and post as many songs as you wish according to the theme. Only 2 songs will be included in the official list that Peter updates. We encourage members to listen and comment on songs posted to the official list first..and then if you have extra time go to the extra songs. Also please take some time to listen to folks who post later on in the theme since we cannot all be here at the time of the theme's posting.

I picked the letter "A". My son and I are struggling terribly hard to keep our place to live. We are both too ill to keep it up and have very little help. I found enough money to pay someone to help a little yesterday and two more days, 4 hours each day. So Easter for us was a day in which I cried a lot, because of fear. Maybe this song is for me. Some of you have heard it before. I will be able to listen later today.

I have taken my guitar and gone to the homes of shut-ins and to the rooms of hospitalized people many, many times over the years. This standard gospel song is one that people love. When I sang it to a beloved friend, a man in his eighties, who was dying of cancer and Alzheimer's and who was only partially conscious, when I finished, he sat up in bed. He smiled at me and kissed me on the cheek. He said, "It's going to be all right. I will see you on the other side." He died peacefully four hours later. It was a privilege for me to be his pastor and to be there at that time.
