The Battle: The Finals!

just checkin in and would love to extend another big congratulations to our finalist !!Best of luck to all of you !!!

Absolutely a big Contrats to the top 5 !!! Amazing work by all, and very pleased with the only save vote I made, hoping they'll make it all the way :) !! But you are all great members of the SingSnap family and very much entertaining me and all of us I'm sure.

Hope you all use expressions, looks at the camera at least a glance if you can, perform like your best person in your life is looking at you through that lens and you want to give THEM the best show -- forget about the rest of us, and it makes it easy and genuine. My only tip on this comp LOL and I've looked through a camera/video lense at a lot of performers.

So wish I could catch the rest but alas I'll be out at sea mostly for 2 weeks and satellite is often way to slow from there for video -- you are all awesome but want to give my nod to Jag ! I'll watch the rest when I get back - carry on like you can win Gold for Life .. oh yeah !!

Welcome To Round 4 - The Final Battle!

Welcome to The Finals! The contestants have been pulling out all the stops showing no surrender. The level of talent and showmanship displayed last round has left many us still trying to gather our chin from off the floor. Thank you to the Top 24 for leaving us in awe and putting on such an incredible concert! You all truly deserve to Take A Bow!

The Mentors have been busy watching, listening and doing it all over again in an effort to score the the Top 24. This has been an extremely challenging endeavor as so many people put so much effort into their performances. The contestants were being judged on both vocal ability and the overall performance/presentation. We're very happy with our Final Four and feel they delivered superbly in both categories!

Every person who competed in this contest has done a remarkable job. Literally, mere fractions of points separated individuals in the final team standings. The Top 24 did fabulous and we hope, even if you don't advance - that you have a performance to be proud of! You've waited long enough...

What's Next For The Final Four?

The final stage in this incredible contest is to complete the following challenge. Each submission will be judged by our SingSnap Champion himself, Trevor and he will personally select the winner!

Each contestants entire journey has been closely followed by their mentor. The mentors have been there to make decisions and offer advice. For this final challenge they will be offering some inspiration in the way of a quote.

The Details:

1. The Final Four contestants may choose any song accessible to them on the site (with the exception of SingSnap Original and Licensed Songs) but the song must be inspired by their mentors quote. You must also tell us the connection. How you do that is up to you. You can either write a note in your song comment section or do it visually within the performance.

2. The performance must be done on cam. The voice and the presentation are worth equal points this time - so don't hold anything back!

3. Your mentors are here for you once again if you should decide you want their advice. How involved they are is entirely up to you!

4. You may use the harmony feature. (No two-person duets)
5. Vocal effects are allowed.
6. Video effects are allowed but make sure we can still see you perform.
7. Gender benders are allowed.
8. You must appear on camera. (No stand-ins, puppets, external videos, etc.,) You may use clips but we want to see YOU perform.
9. You are allowed assistance from family members if need be. (Back-up performers are allowed)
10. Your avatar/profile pic must remain the contest logo.

2. The completed song must be dated after this thread has been posted.
3. The song must be a fresh recording, for this contest only.
4. You have until 5 PM EST, Sunday May 6th to submit your entry on this thread.

My family-crew of teens loved making the last video so well, they still want to help make another video. We are preparing to one more ("UN-final" Video) just for the fun of it. So, this contest has actually rewarded me with more family time, and an even more entertaining way to use Sing Snap. :)

I have to say this about singsnap....I sent an entry to my son to watch, with the subj...this is what people on singsnap can do....multitalented people..
I know that being able to take a song and make it my own...or barring not being able to find the song to listen to to simply wing it...is worth a lot to me...and my little quirks I add to songs at times are a lot of fun
You go to a karaoke and try to do the same thing..and you get..."What do you think you are doing looks"....

Awww JustBrea is fantastic...I wish she had won something...Have you heard her sing beyond the competition songs?

I know it must have been difficult deciding...the winners were great, but there were a few more just as good...ah well....we all hear things differently, but talent and the video production was the key...and the final 5 had it all.....Congratulations...

I just want to defend the top 4 a bit since I am part of it and also the others who is partcipating in this contest. I believe that the top 4 including myself actually can sing and did not advance just because of the videos. However, there were many in the top 24 that had awesome voices and could of might as well been on there. Same thing on the auditions. I just have one wish and that is that this thread should be all about positivy, cheerin, caring and laughs!!

Anyone know any good jokes? :)

Thank you Novella! I really love it when everyone can be good sports about it and cheer these fabulous singers on! They are each amazing and different in their own way, just as each has shown through this competition. I have certain people that I am cheering for, but I am also excited to see what each brings to the forefront in the end. :) It will be amazing I am sure, and they can all be proud in knowing that there is always someone out here that cares, and genuinely wants them to shine on every level! :) Can't wait! :)

Ok, here goes..........

Three blondes were all applying for the last available position on the Texas Highway Patrol. The detective conducting the interview looked at the three
of them and said, "So y'all want to be cops, huh?"
The blondes all nodded.

The detective got up, opened a file drawer, and pulled out a folder. Sitting
back down, he opened it, pulled out a picture, and said, "To be a detective,
you have to be able to detect. You must be able to notice things such as
distinguishing features and oddities like scars and so forth."

So saying, he stuck the photo in the face of the first blonde and withdrew
it after about two seconds. "Now," He said, "did you notice any
distinguishing features about this man?"

The blonde immediately said, "Yes, I did. He has only one eye!"

The detective shook his head and said, "Of course he has only one eye in
this picture! It's a profile of his face! You're dismissed!"

The first blonde hung her head and walked out of the office.

The detective then turned to the second blonde, stuck the photo in her face
for two seconds, pulled it back, and said, "What about you? Notice anything
unusual or Outstanding about this man?"

"Yes! He only has one ear!"

The detective put his head in his hands and exclaimed, "Didn't you hear what
I just told the other lady? This is a profile of the man's face! Of course
you can only see one ear! You're excused too!"

The second blonde sheepishly walked out of the office.

The detective turned his attention to the third and last blonde and said,
"This is probably a waste of time, but...." He flashed the photo in her face
for a couple of seconds and withdrew it, saying, "All right, did you notice
anything distinguishing or Unusual about this man?"

The blonde said, "I sure did. This man wears contact lenses. "

The detective frowned, took another look at the picture, and began looking
at some of the papers in the folder. He looked up at the blonde with a
puzzled expression and said, "You're absolutely right! His bio says he wears
contacts! How in the world could you tell that by looking at his picture?"

The blonde rolled her eyes and said, "Well, Helloooooo! With only One eye
and one ear, he certainly can't wear glasses."
