We are now ready to reveal the saved contestants! Due to technical issues out of our control we were unable to count the Facebook likes. We do apologize for the inconvenience but we have to ensure the contest withholds its integrity and remains fair.
With well over 500 votes cast - we are now ready to reveal our saved contestant! This person will be awarded a year gold membership and is now elligible to compete in the Finals in an effort to win the grande prize! Round 3 - Team Battle: The Top 20 Contestants will now battle head-to-head within their own team. They will be given a list of songs to choose from and they will have to record their best all-around performance on camera and showcase their Star-Quality! We are looking for someone who puts their all into their performance. Set the stage, show your personal/individual style. Get creative and make sure your voice is showcased and your performance is entertaining. The Top 20 will be judged by all mentors. The top scoring person from each group will advance into The Finals!
We made it clear from the beginning that your performance, ability to set the stag, get creative, perform and entertain was going to be very important in the third round. We're sorry if you're disappointed 
I would hope though that those, especially in the Top 40 and on are still proud of what they accomplished. Everyone was truly amazing.
So everyone knows... Singing and Video will be worth EQUAL points in the finals. So they will both need to be stellar to win. That does NOT necessarily mean video editing. We had some BEAUTIFUL videos (one of my absolute favs) last round that had no editing at all and scored very very well. But last round singing was worth more than the video so ... it is what it is.
Let's all join together, respect the Final Five and cheer them on! I have a feeling this final round will be quite impressive!

I remember reading about the video part in the beginning but didn't think I'd make it that far Lol I have a question though, my headset has had a short in it for a few weeks and now only the mic works. It was a turtle beach modern warfare foxtrot or something like that. Any suggestions for a new one?

I think it is discrimination to have to sing with a cam as I like a lot of people don't have and don't want a cam. There is too much surmising in this world RastasDiscrimination is a harsh word. We understand that perspective though and we will likely be having a non-cam contest in the near future! Stay tuned!Novella
Most of you know that I am so shy to get on cam, so I understand Rastas' frustration.
But, seriously, discrimination IS a strong word, but I've been thinking it would be great to have a contest for those who don't have cams or who are shy to get on cam like me.
I have so much trouble with that nose of mine.

All 5 have there own unique singing styles.
But I have to say Lee Rogers impressed me the most so far.

I agree that all the singers were top notch and I am very happy for all of those that won. I didn't put myself in the top 4. I have great respect for all the work everyone has done. And each of the 5 earned there position as a great talent. This was not meant to degrade there abilities or talents. I just wish it had been more clear that what was needed was to be also a talented video editor or have someone show you who is.
I am aware that all the people involved in making this a success have worked very hard, and you are to be congratulated. It was a very professional and fun competition and you will never make some old geeeeessserrs like me totally happy.
Thanks for all your hard work.

Your mentor is actually a very talented video editor. All you need to do is ask. I helped one of my people learn how to do some basic edits. Other people learned all on their own. This contest was NOT about video editing. We did not, at any point, ask anyone to edit a video. People took it upon themselves. Their effort and creativity was awarded. Just as the effort and creativity was awarded for those other fabulous and beautiful videos that weren't edited.
There were also some videos where people barely tried at all. I probably shouldn't comment at all but I want to make it very, very clear that we did not request or ever expect people to do what they did. It was not the mandate of the contest. People just stepped up to the challenge and raised the bar very high with their different levels and types of creativity. I don't know or understand how anyone can do anything other than applaud their efforts.
Anyways, like I said. I just wanted it to be clear we did not intend to set that precedent. It just happened. We told people to perform and entertain and Boy O Boy, did they ever.

Some chose to accept my help, and others didn't. This is not to say that I am an expert, but I've been known to throw a video or two together. The save was never part of the original plan, so the fact that one more person was given a chance at the championship and one more person has won a free year of gold says to me that this was absolutely not a waste of time to enter.
Let's not fail to mention the huge amount of exposure the Top 40 and Top 24 received for themselves!

Annie I thought guided me well, we were in contact a lot. I want to say. I told her about my disabilities and she told me what she wanted the lighting to be like and the feel of the video. And I did as she asked. But I think we all put an effort into it...

I am probably gonna get myself into all sorts of trouble here, but I am about to express a PERSONAL OPINION that does NOT (and SHOULD NOT) reflect against the site.
The one thing that has struck me since AFTER the auditions is the number of GENUINE comments. Even those who just dropped a graphic, they did so in the FULL KNOWLEDGE that they were not gonna get one in return. THIS IS SO PLEASING TO me, given that one of the sad evolutions on this site has been the "cash for comment" (sorry - more accurately, if I post a disingenuous comment on your song I EXPECT an equally disingenuous comment in reply, which will result in the accumulation is mountains of comments on my songs, which will somehow validate me and prove to the world that I am a megastar - despite my inability to carry a tune in a 44 gallon drum) mentality.
THIS contest has resulted in magnificent presentations that have been largely rewarded with genuine praise and validation - and rightly so because EVERY one from the start of the contest proper has been a genuine star in my books!
I haven't commented upon them all because of my circumstances, but I have listened to each and every submission and been gob smacked with just how much stunning talent there really is!

It doesn't matter the one we voted in facebook can be saved or not! What does matter is that facebook votes are equally important compared to the other vote! I strongly believe that the votes from facebook are MUCH MUCH more than the votes in your voting page!!!
Even the save was never part of the original plan... should the one to be saved just come from a LUCKY DRAW??? Then... why don't your guys, the mentors and the staffs just choose him/her right away from the start!!! Why wasting our times to click LIKEs???

If you look at the disposition of finalists as well, it is interesting to note where they all hail from, is it not? Compare that to the disposition of members generally and I would bet that the numbers from Great Britain and Europe are disproportionally represented and that probably is indicative of something but I am hanged if I know what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It sure is sad to see how negative some people have to be....
I have never been one to be a awesome video editor, I got some advice from my mentor and some ss friends, and put together a so so edited video, I feel like my vocals are my strength. So I always felt like I had a chance...
But with the voting procedure....
Was it just me who saw on the very first page that they were having issues with the facebook likes counting correctly, and that we should use the alternate method of voting in the same manner as the last round?
I never once asked anyone to "FB Like" my tune because I read the information that was posted, in fact I think I only had 1 like on that song page.....js

Actually I didn't use any filters, Annie told me to turn the color down to almost black and white and I put a lamp on the floor for lighting. Thats it. But I am glad my song touched you... I didn't mean to get negative. I just took that comment personal, and I'm sure the others tried to interpret their songs the best way they thought would work too.
I recently had two heart attacks and open heart surgery, and I'm not yet healed. All I can do is sit in my chair. But the song I chose I felt. Those were real tears. I almost died several times this year, and wanted to at other times because of the physical pain. I had to retire from my music career after the heart attack, so I did try my absolute best.
I'm staying to cheer my favorite on... GO JAG!!!
