You Can Sing, But...Can You Duet?!?

Ok gang! Hello all, and welcome To Rd#1 of "You Can Sing, But... Can You Duet?". As most of you know by now, each round here will have some sort of twist, as well as a "theme" of sorts. I highly recommend you be ready for anything! So, if you are ready(we can only hope!), lets get down to business!

FOR STARTERS...HERE ARE THE BASIC RULES:

*Yes! I WILL be putting these EVERY round. Just think of them as a "friendly reminder" for us all.
*No drama! None, nada, zilch! Especially on the thread. If you have a problem, please PM me so we can find a solution and keep things here friendly. My ears are always open, and willing to listen. We are all here to have fun though. So lets play nice...ish. ;o)
*No Effects. (MMSB is the ONLY exception) I have no problems with using them normally, but seeing as how we're doing duets, & your being judged as a team, it wouldnt make sense to use them if your partner doesnt have the same abilities. So, to keep things easy...lets just not use all that high tech sound gear we got laying around the garage.
*If your song is not submitted by the deadline you will be disqualified. No exceptions here. If there is TRULY a legit problem, and you come to me WELL in advance(This means NOT the day things are due), we can try to work something out. Lets try to not have that come up though, okie dokie?
*Keep up with the thread. Though participation is not mandatory, you ARE expected to know when things move forward. Remember, since this is all duets, you need to at least be around enough to pick your partners each round, and whatever that round may dictate. I don't do daily contests and such, cause I think that gives some people unfair advantages...but some presence is needed so we know you are still alive and kicking with us! ;)
*Listening to your fellow conestants and leaving comments is by no means not mandatory. However, it is STRONGLY encouraged. If you want people to listen to you, show the respect and courtesy back to them. I will warn you on this in advance as well...there may be a time when your survival hangs in the balance of someone else in the contest. So, its just wise to make sure we all play nice with one another. *weg*
*And finally...so as to keep my sanity in tact, I am also putting into affect a no repeats clause. So, to keep things simple...please claim your song on the thread first, THEN sing it. This way there is no yelling, screaming, fighting, whipping, beating, naked jello wrestling(Ok...that one I think we WILL allow! LOL)

ELIMINATIONS WILL GO AS FOLLOWS:
AUDITIONS ... All 60 Go Through
Round 1 - Start with 60 ... 10 Get Eliminated
Round 2 - Start with 50 ... 10 get Eliminated
Round 3 - Start with 40 ... 10 Get Eliminated
Round 4 - Start with 30 ... 10 Get Eliminated
Round 5 - Start with 20 ... 10 Get Eliminated
Round 6 - Finals!

SCORING WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:
10 points - Complexity of Song/Song Arrangement
10 points - Originality
20 points - Quality Of Recording
20 Points - Individual Vocals (Pitch,Clarity,Range)
20 Points - Harmonize/Blend
20 Points - The "X" Factor (Yup...I sooooo had to steal that! LOL)
Total possible points = 100

Round #2 "Dirty Harry"

Ok, so you survived round one. Feeling pretty good about yourself, are ya? Well, dont get too confident. I mean, it's still pretty early here, and things only get worse from this point forward. LOL This round, I am pulling my theme from one of the greatest Clint Eastwood movies. Actually, its really based off a famous line in the movie. Im guessing most everyone here knows it, so go ahead and repeat it with me!

"I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?"

So what does that mean for this round you ask? Am I gonna pull out a gun and go crazy in here?!? Yeah...not likely. (Notice, I DID say "likely" though...NOT impossible! LOL) What it DOES mean though, is the guys are gonna be put on the spot this round. How lucky do YOU feel? Well, lets find out! Below, you will see a list of songs. Some you may recognize...some ya probably wont! Consider them my "weapons of choice" here. LOL Your job, is to pick a song. Behind each song, is a lovely lady/bullet waiting to sing that song with you. If by chance you pick a song linked to someone you sang with last round, I will adjust accordingly.
