I HAVE GONE THRU MY LIC SONGS AND I CAN'T PLAY ANY OF THEM. WHY IS THIS?
I KNOW IT CAN'T BE JUST ME WHO HAS THOSE SONGS BUT NONE OF MINE WITH LIC WILL PLAY..

Karaa No Songs with the LIC still on them will play! Yes some license's have been lifted but not all. We are still hoping for more to come...

Also as they return Not all countries have the same license clearance I do believe... so keep watching for the New Releases that way you will know what song is cleared!

Hmmmmm....something strange is going on. The song, "Swing," by Trace Adkins was re-released yesterday, on 5/13/09. I noticed that it was the only one released that day. Today, it is missing from the new listings, in sing & record, however it is still accessible.
Am I making any sense, whatsoever??? lol
Oh well...I know what I'm talking about.hehe.

I guess this is a done deal now? Can someone let us know if there are anymore songs going to return or not? I still have over 50 from artists like Bon Jovi, Train, Joshua Kaddison, Robbie Williams, Simply Red, Rob Thomas, Kevin Sharp, John Lennon, Five for fighting, Toploader, David Lee Roth, Little River Band, Savage Garden, Lionel Richie, Phil Collins, Barry Manilow, Linda Rhonstadt, Leann Rimes, Ronan Keating, Billy Joel, Daniel Powter... and many more.

Are anymore songs going to return? Before you mentioned that they were coming back I had 68 songs with LIC.. I still have 55.. I guess that is better than nothing but from the original post it seemed as though they all were coming back. I know a lot have returned because I have been watching.. I just want to know if the license thing is over with or not so I can delete the recordings that are not returning.

If you happen to already have the 'lic' worked out for 'Trace Adkins - Arlington', I think it would be a swell thing to make a special release of that today, for our Memorial Day.

this may have already been answered , but if a song that is LIC becomes NOT lic and they put a new version out why can't the old version have the lic removed? ex: INXS - need you tonight, we have a non lic version and the older one which i like is still LIC

Sometimes, it's not the song that is the problem, but the manufacturer that has produced it. Each manufacturer has to pay the appropriate rights to the song, and occasionally they get it wrong and produce it anyway...which in turn means a disc they have produced with it on has to be pulled, and re-issued without that song on it.

It could be that certain songs that have returned to us are now licensed in the correct way, and available, but only by certain manufacturers..the rest are playing catch up! And they will only do that if they think it's financially viable to do so.

I hope the version you like gets licensed properly soon!

I think a great many of us have songs like that...Chris Isaak's Wicked Game springs to mind!! I know most of us would dearly love to get our most treasured recordings back...& those favourites we'd love to hear again from others :)

The situation has been resolved and over the next several weeks you will see many previously enjoyed songs as well as many new songs added to the site.

Trevor when you say 'many previously enjoyed songs', what exactly does that mean? Thousands of soungs were restricted and we have seen a couple 100 returned thus far. Which is fantastic, don't get me wrong, but can you give us a better idea of what we can expect to see over the next several weeks? Will it be a couple hundred more, half the restricted catelouge, the whole thing (I don't expect this btw).

I just know there are lots of artists and songs on the un-restricted catelouge that I love to sing but very few of them were in the recent re-release. What about the Train, Matchbox Twenty, James Taylor, Billy Joel, U 2, Goo Goo Dolls - and so many many more)

Why are some of the newly added songs (June 10) now lic, too? Hmm I guess it's an ongoing process. :(

Not complaining, just a little sad. That song lasted for about 4 days. Hmm. Oh well plenty of other stuff left to sing!

I think SingSnap should just pull the ones that have LIC next to them. I see them here in Germany and can sing them.. but no one can listen so it makes no sense! They are only fooling them selves to say they have a larger library!

Yes, that too, but I was talking about a song that was newly added less than 2 weeks ago, and I can no longer access it.

Bump! While y'all are busy trying to relicense those Benny Andersson-Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson-Stig Andersson-Björn Ulvaeus song for both the artists ABBA and MAMMA MIA! (Soundtrack) (as presented by SoundChoice and/or Zoom Entertainments), why not see about a SESAC license so we can get some of those rare gems of Country over here, e.g. some of the American Gramophone songs that put C. W. McCall on the classic Country map? (I'm also a bit confused whether Polar Music Publishing cross-licensed to EMI Music Publishing (USA), Inc. (BMI), compositions previously administered by Countless Songs.)

You can go to ASCAP for ex., search their repertory, say for instance ABBA then choose a song, notice the asterisk*, then call the record co. or owner and let them have it. lol

It's very unnerving knowing SS or anyone for that matter, pays a blanket LIC fee reimbursing composers, writers and artists, even the restricted ones, yet cannot use a karaoke track here or elsewhere.

North America restrictions suck.

Last week a Black Sabbath song, this week a Marylin Manson track, niceeee SS!

We should do this again. I have six songs I worked hard on that I can no longer even listen to..... Maybe someone checking to make sure it was not a problem before they were made available for us to record might be a good idea.

I've had songs from years ago Lic'd and some of them came back. I never deleted them. Then a Gene Pitney one would get Lic'd , but Paul Revere and the Raiders would come back.
I just don't delete them, cuz ya never know :)
