Hi friends!
Since we all have a little more indoor time these days, I thought I would offer to assist you in helping to sing better. We all can use assistance (me included) and I really love this community.

If you’re so inclined, I will offer free critique and give applicable singing advice to the first 50 people that send me a private message that includes at least:

- A hello
- a link to a performance you’d like me to hear
- any other related information

I will, as soon as I can (If I get a ton of PMs, please understand it will take awhile), respond with:

- A hello
- a review/critique of your performance
- some tips on how you might do that song a little better.

I’m not a jerk. I won’t go Simon Cowell on you. I WILL be honest, but gentle. I will give you tips according to my knowledge. I’m NOT a professional singing teacher. I’m a 30-year professional studio singer with several albums and hundreds of jingles to my name. I’m hardly the world’s greatest singer - I’m just trying to help anyone I can to become better and have more fun.

Again, please understand that it might take awhile to get to your message - but I won’t ignore you.

Thanks all. Be healthy, be safe, be careful and STAY AT HOME!

Hello Bobby,
I've never worked professionally as a vocalist, but I've been told I should give it a shot a bunch of times. I used to do quite a bit of recording on this website, but I've had a bad bout of illness and I'm only just getting back to it. But the thing is I'm pretty sure my skills have atrophied, and if it's as bad as I fear, I'll need professional advice to get back to where I was. I want to know if you think it's worth the effort. So, my hope here is that you might listen to something I just did a few days ago, and another recording from when I think I was at the top of my game, then let me know if you think you can help me. If it is more than you are willing to do, though, I understand it's probably a lot to ask.

Thanks,
Allen

I'd like your honest professional opinion - you can make it public for the amusement of others - whether I should keep trying to occasionally sing show tunes that I end up butchering when I strain to hit high notes or should I stick mainly with rock songs where I can use percussion (usually tambourine) and special visual effects to distract from my loud but not-so-good vocals? ... These are my last two recordings -

Maria - West Side Story
http://www.singsnap.com/karaoke/r/bf8960343

Gloria ~ Shadows Of Knight (not Shadows Of The Knight as listed on Singsnap ...)
http://www.singsnap.com/karaoke/r/c7b87ca83

Disclaimer - this may mainly be a shameless attempt at self-promotion since there haven't been enough rock contests lately - where's Ghetto, etc lol ? ...
