Hi,
Do you remember the first song you sang when you joined Singsnap? Re-sing it and post it here if you like, or just tell us what the song title is.

If you feel like it, otherwise, have a great day

The first song I sang was 'Yellow' by Coldplay

Have fun

I joined 2 years ago today.

My first song I think was Summer Wind - Frank Sinatra. I deleted it some time ago. Then I recorded Diamonds - Rhianna.

to be honest, it was one of two songs, it Could have been Are you Lonesome tonight, or can't help falling in love, by Elvis Presley, but I do think it was Can't help Falling in Love,

I couldn't remember what my first song was and I probably deleted it a long time ago. However I looked up my oldest recording on my recording list and found this to be my oldest recording. Well the other one older than this was my mom singing so that doesn't count. This is Bob Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone" back from January 2010. The Force is strong with this one:

Back in 2008, I found a duet opportunity that is still on file:

WHEN YOU BELIEVE - "PRINCE OF EGYPT" / WHITNEY HOUSTON & MARIAH CAREY (Duet with 8sirena8)
(Kenneth Edwards/Stephen Schwartz) DWA Songs, ASCAP/Songs of DWA, BMI
Originally recorded on an eMachines®/Acer® EL1210-09 (Advanced Micro Devices® Athlon® LE-1620; nVIDIA® nForce® 785 MCP, 64-bit GeForce® video; Realtek® ALC-884 audio: Running under Microsoft® Windows® 6.0.6001 at the time) that has since been rebuilt for projection duty under lubuntu™ 16.04.3-LTS. Microphone: Nady® DKW-3.

Correction: I also have evidence of a since-deleted Recording from the Comments archive:

SAVE THE LAST DANCE FOR ME / DRIFTERS
(Jerome Solon Felder/Mortimer Shuman) Rumbalero Music Inc./Progressive Music Pub. Co./Trio Music, BMI
Apparently tracked 20 or 21 December 2008, beating:

WHEN YOU BELIEVE - "PRINCE OF EGYPT" / WHITNEY HOUSTON & MARIAH CAREY (Duet with 8sirena8)
(Kenneth Edwards/Stephen Schwartz) DWA Songs, ASCAP/Songs of DWA, BMI

by a week. Same equipment used.

My VERY first recording on Singsnap was CRYING by Roy Orbison and I will never forget it. But this story is far more entertaining than my recording. Being unfamiliar with the recording process I hastily recorded my song and posted it somehow without reviewing it first. Big mistake. To my horror my recording was posted which unbeknownst to me included a VIDEO, of me sitting in nothing but my underwear!!!! Absolute panic set it in. In a nano-second I was getting "comments". My heart was pounding and feared I would get thrown off of SS the first 3 minutes of my membership!!! LMAO. I quickly learned how to make the recording private. No humans were harmed during this process. (just my ego)

Wishing Everyone A Very Merry Christmas!

My First Singsnap song when I joined back in March 2007 was Bette Midlers The Rose ...I remember being so nervous and OMG sounded awful however it was fun and I did it no matter what I sounded like.... Which is why I encourage every new member and old members to carry on singing, because if nothing else it helps to relieve stress, its fun, and what a great way to express oneself...The Rose has a significant meaning for me...and if you read the lyrics it is a very poignant song...it is about doing things no matter what age, gender or ethnic origin you are...its never too late..it is about being brave and how you can acheive what you strife for if you try... overcome any fears.....Well, that is how I interpreted it....

Hi SingSnap Friends,

I really don't remember my first attempt at singing on here, I'm pretty sure the first few have been deleted by me.

I have been a listening member since November of 2009 when I happen to fall in love with the voice of some sensuous, sensational singer by the SS nic of GentleRaiin (Marti)

From time to time throughout the years I would stalk her singing, and thinking, boy, I wish I could carry a tune cuz I'd sure like to do a Duet with her !

Finally, almost 8 years later, I said what the heck I'll give it a try to sing!

After a few tries and a bunch of deletes, lol, I decided to keep "We Could" by Charlie Pride.

Fast forward to this month, Just did a remix of " We Could" with GentleRaiin (Marti ) that I'm pretty darn proud of, sure hope some of you agree !!

Hugs and Thank Yous from both of us if you listen,

Blessings and hugs, Marti

I joined in 2012. There wasn't anything notable about my first sing. But I played around with video and by the end of the year I did my first edited video for four of my friends. It's crude by my standards today but it was advanced for it's time.

Desperado

Yellow by Coldplay, in 2007, I sang pretty good back then, now i've had so many operations, plus 2 thyroids tumors out & thyroid, that pretty much made my throat have scratchy sound, I mean my throat was cut, geez wished Dr had used laser, but still here, have to try sing around it. It was taken off for copyright, not sure why, cause out in karaoke world, I'd buy my own copy from karaoke warehouse & DJ would play, lots ppl had their own cd's, albums of them, the DJ was not always up to date. The song is somewhat weird, but ppl love it, so far no one out in the karaoke world has sung it, there are great versions here.
