Hosted Discussion Changes

With our Hosted Discussion (HD) groups just past their one year mark we've started to explore ways to improve the overall experience they offer. Over the next few months we'll be making small changes to help improve the functionality and enjoyability of the area.

The first change we'll be making is to reduce the number of main categories in the HD area. This will be done by combining current similar categories to create broader categories. The resulting categories will offer a more user friendly way of finding groups you're interested in. By reducing the number of main categories it increases the exposure a group will have while still keeping groups organized.

These changes will not affect individual groups. Some groups will however reside in a new main category. Please see the lists below to find out if any of your favorite groups will be residing in a new category.

Music & Entertainment = Music and Entertainment categories
Everyday Life = Lifestyles, Family Living and Food categories
Hobbies & Recreation = Cars, Photos & Graphics, Crafting and Recreational Activities categories
Health & Self Improvement = Health & Wellness and Self Improvement categories
Art/Literature/Poetry = Art/Writing/Poetry category
