I just got an idea!
Theme..... celebrating Carnival at home
Info....
This month Carnival is celebrated in my home country Trinidad and Tobago, also where i live in Croatia, and other countries around the world like Brazil, Venice,New Orleans, Mexico etc. Considered the greatest show on earth in my homeland it brings everyone together in celebration,no matter what race or religion in a vibrant array of colors.
General concept.... to take part in the celebration from home, create a costume much like halloween and perform in it for cam users.
Sample Artists....
Some Caribbean artists like
Billy ocean
Harry Belafonte
Grace Jones
Bob Marley
Rhianna
Eddy Grant
Italian Artists like...
Andrea Bocelli
Laura Pausini
Luciano Pavarotti just to name a few, have not researched Brazilian and Mexican artists but can include songs in the language of those countries or song that have something to do with the country.
LIke *Drink a rum and coca cola* has to do with Trinidad-
*Blue Spanish eyes prettiest eyes in all of Mexico* etc.
Hope you like the idea.

Have a nice week-end/week.
Hi all... I would love to see a Feature Selection based on our Towns/Citys/States/Provinces etc...I thought back in December about the "city theme" see:
http://www.singsnap.com/karaoke/watchandlisten/play/b8acc77d0
...but it could also include States/Provinces if there are not enough songs,(you say you need about 600 songs to Feature as choices), why not let us have choices for singing about our favorites 'parts of' North America cities/towns/states/provinces???There has to BE at least 50 songs just for our 50 States in the U.S., as EACH State always has a State Song such as The Tennessee Waltz, The Missouri Waltz etc...Just an idea, hope you will consider it...

Nothing special required! As long as the songs on it are not the same over and over and there are songs for EVERY genre of music! Don't exclude a certain genre simply for the sake of a "special" feature page!

wonderful suggestion! I have been making an effort to include different languages in features I work on. That may be something we can do in the future. Awhile back we had Latin songs featured but it would be a good idea to look for songs from many different languages.

Yes... love Dutch and German and French and Italian... this was one of the ideas I am having now for many ages!!!
Edited reply by saphire36305
some Italian operas perhaps! there are lots of songs here I'm sure. I'll do some research on your idea. You could also include songs people are more familiar with such as "Labamba", "The Macarena", "99 Luftballoons", etc.
there might not be enough songs to devote to just foreign languages but we could possibly work out an "Around the Globe" theme featuring artists from all over the world.

requesting permission from the poster to borrow this idea and build a feature around it. It doesn't have to be a total foreign language feature but we can feature artists from around the globe.

1. What is the title of your theme?Alphabetical Trip Around the Genres
2. Write a Blurb (4-5 lines) about your theme. What makes it interesting - any historical information., etc.,
This theme could run a few times on and off..just take a trip around each genre and pick songs beginning with a letter of the alphabet..Or you could list the A..songs under Rock, B...Bluegrass..or you could take 10 songs from A under Rock..10 from each of the other genres under A
3. What is the general concept behind the theme:
concept above..explained more below
4. Indicate some samples of Artists/Songs available on SingSnap:
Singsnap has 18 genres...so you assign one letter of the alphabet to one genre
A=Rock
B=Country
C=Traditional.
you would use the first 18 letters of the alphabet
Select enough songs in the various genres for the various letters of the alphabet to fill the 600 song limit you need for a feature theme..Some of the smaller genres here could get assigned 2 letters of the alphabet if we wanted to use the entire alphabet.

Suggest A Theme For The Feature Page
Do you enjoy singing songs from the Feature Page? Do you have a unique or interesting idea for a theme? Then this is the spot for you! Fill out the questionnaire below and get one step closer to seeing your idea in the spotlight!
Helpful Hints!
Here are some helpful hints for you to consider prior to submitting your idea. The more research/information given, the better the chances of your theme idea being selected! Get creative and remember these following tips;
- Ensure there are enough artists/songs available on SingSnap to support your theme. We need approximately 600 songs per feature. (Do not count duplicate versions)
- Are there freebies? We need at least 20-25 free songs per feature.
- If it is an artist based theme, supply a list of artist you would like to see featured.
- Make sure any artists/songs you supply do not have any licensing restrictions (They would be marked with a little red 'lic')
- Research recent trends in music and eras which you may not be familiar with.
- Try not to be repetitive. We want to avoid using the same artists/songs themes that appeared in recent features.
- Include variety! Ensure there is a nice mix of various genres, languages and eras if possible!
