Automatic Playlist

I'm not sure I understand the question entirely. We do have playlists but those are for individual songs and you have to add them.
We do have folders for favs and it's up to you really how you use them. If you go to watch and listen "Favorites" you can listen to fav members, fav songs, fav artists, etc.,
Are you suggesting there be like.. a "Fav Favs" list? Just trying to understand what it is you're looking for..

There are a couple ways it could be done, but basically an auto Playlist of the most recent songs from those I add to the list.
So say I have 200 faves in my list, but I really only have 20 people who visit my songs regularly, and I want to return visits to those people, cuz I haven't got time to listed to all 200. Instead of manually going through, picking them out, and picking out songs for each, I could put the names of those 20 in my auto playlist, and it would load when I log in and start playing their songs from the most recent. It could be set to play the last 3 days or it could be set to play (in shuffle mode perhaps) their last recorded song, or even last three recent songs. Each time I log in, it would reload with new songs...assuming they had new recordings. All I do is hit play. No more searching. Don't have to think about it. Saves a lot of time, so maybe I can listen to a LOT more people.
Lots of ways to play around with the idea....I'm sure the programmers would cook up something awesome.

Interesting. Now I have a better understanding of the suggestion. I'll definitely pass this along to one of the programmers. I'm not sure how database intensive that sort of thing would be but let's see what they have to say

This is similar to an earlier suggestion of mine for a button that pulls in the most recent track from everyone I have marked as a favourite... Would love to see progress on this idea!
It's not all about the singing, there's listening to enjoy too

Yup lots of ways that this could be looked at. But I definitely think more songs would be listened to this way. And you still have the regular listens for contests and other people who drop by you want to return, and maybe later they get added to the list. Anyway, I know some people are concerned if they aren't on your list they won't be listened to. But if they are in contests, or if they drop by, it wouldn't be any different than what it is now. You can still visit them. This way, at least your faves still know they're your faves.
The problem for me with pulling a track from everyone who's a favorite is that it could be hundreds of songs...and for me anyway...most of the people on my list never visit me, and I think a separate list would enable me to preference the ones that do take the time to listen.

Either way, Snap should have more features like this to celebrate it's listener power. Easier ways to listen = more comments = more engagement = more members = more Money :D

I saw the subject line for automatic playlist and thought it would be a totally different feature:
I love playlists for challenges and contests. The larger the list of songs, the more important it is to have a playlist. I typically offer this because I think a playlist really makes it so much easier to visit others in the challenge or contest.
So, I imagined a feature that would autmatically pick out the links in a contest/challenge put them in a playlist and keep updating it as the songs came in.
The process of making a playlist of even 40 songs as they come in can be tedious.

Well you could be on to something!
Just like how make songs private or public, The Playlist creator could mark it as an OPEN public playlist for contests, so the singers could add it to that list after recording. That shouldn't take an awful lot of programming!

... and the favourites too. Use the check boxes to select the ones you want to hear then generate the playlist with the button at the bottom.

That is very cool. It's not an auto list, so you still have to sort out and go thru pages, but it's a great start!

I wish I could just hit the Start button on a shuffled playlist of those people I want to hear songs from. Not necessarily everyone I've flagged, I'd want to be able to pick and choose, so I can return more listens from those that visit me, without having to wade through everyone I have flagged as a once in awhile visit.
For that matter, it would be nice to have Categorie folders for faves.
