Hey everyone!!! I had some errands and stuff to take care of so I am just getting here.
First I hope everone understands the layout! Second, I am reassigning a song for Countrygold. I feel this is completley the thing to do, I made no mention of limitations on the membership colors here.

Intersting info on the way Bodemeister was named..
Olympic skier Bode Miller is backing Kentucky Derby contender Bodemeister, named in his honor.

Bodemeister is a slight 4-1 favorite to win the Run for the Roses at Churchill Downs in Louisville today, having won the Arkansas Derby in April by a large margin.

Horse trainer Bob Baffert named his 8-year-old son Bode after watching Miller at the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City. Then he also named his 3-year-old Colt after Miller.

Baffert and Miller didn’t meet until the 2005 Kentucky Derby. “It was there that he told me he had named his son after me,” Miller told us.

Miller, who has attended 10 Kentucky Derbys, says racing is in his blood: “My grandfather was very into horse racing, and I found some of his old journals and got into it from there.”

Miller told us he could get involved in horse training in the future. “It has a lot of parallels to skiing,” he said, adding, “It’s a fun lifestyle, being around the racetrack.”

Did anyone watch the videos of Secretariat? IN the Belmont (3rd race-potential for Triple Crown) of course Secretariat won but won by 25 lengths!!!! AMAZING LIGHTNING SPEED!!

That is what is so amazing.... Each horse seems to have something special in beauty, style, bloodline for speed, etc etc. Honestly, I am a city girl and use to living in areas with street lights and dont know too much about Farm stuff.... My late husband taught me a little bit about horses and racing stuff.
I mentioned the Horse Retirement Place which is located here in Georgetown where I live and I really want to go there... I think Cigar is there and if I am not mistaken he is the largest horse.
Man O War I cant remember what his was known for but we have a circle that almost completes all the way around Lexington.. It stops at Keeneland, they would not dare disturb there much less put a road thru it!! SO it stops right at the airport.
I always get confused about Triple Crown Winners... As far as I KNOW there are only 3 but I see stuff from 7 to 11 and more on the web... Maybe its included in all Races and all countries even.
I know horse racing is extreme!
I have only rode on one horse and that was on a trail ride. My horse kept biting my sons horse who was in front of me and his horse kept bucking a little bit to make him stop... I was scared he was gonna get thrown off so I rode holding him too LOL Had that boy by the seat of his pants!!! LOL
I have not seen the movie. I dont have time to go anywhere or do anything.

The other horses I know of that are TRIPLE CROWN WINNERS are Seattle Slew and Affirmed but I went to wikipedia and I trust them so they say 11
