I was going to buy 50.....I called them up to call me back....I agree with you totally, Terry. 5 to everyone would have been the way to go "for good will" and a terrific sense of community. Then everyone, even those who can't really afford an extra 5 bucks could have had some fun sending them out.
I guess they need money. Bandwith must have gone up......It ends up another battle of "popularity", which I hate. So, if and when they call, I will tell them I changed my miind....The hearts should be up for the whole month of Feb.
20 bucks for 6 or 7 days is chintzy.

I do see your point and actually I felt the same. I see many who dont get any while others drown in them..
Kinda feels degrading not being able to share this hearts or even to be around without one, while everyone around you has one.
Valentine suppose to be the time to share Love ..Part of Love for me is to care for the ones who're in need ..but fact is, we talk about a software..nothing else.
So..just take a hr and count all the hearts you see and then imagin this amount till the 17th and you might get a tiny idea , how much $$$ this will bring.
On Facebook I only typ and the heart comes up, without paying ..so I guess even if I could afford the hearts I wouldn't get them..I can load unlimited hearts over Photobucket if I want to share a feeling.

I hope this dont make me sound ungreatful to my sponsors ..I do cherish this gift from the bottom of my heart , but I guess a* hello Tina, I just thought of you* would have warmed my Soul much more, simply just to see who does care in this business world

I have read all the posts above and stand with a firm foot with both Soul-Dream and pawells900 in all they have said.

It is wonderful to show appreciation to our friends, and show them how much they are appreciated and loved.

Perhaps SS takes the 'hearts' idea out of context of the original idea ~ that of a love between and man and a woman, not a general 'all-inclusive' love for friends all bound up in the same package! Valentines is a beautiful idea and in fact it was through this day of February 14th that my wife and I began a to love and devote ourselves to each other. Boy and girl, in love still today after 44 years!

I might be taking this down to a fine line, but it is so wrong to extend the idea of Valentines which speaks of 'love' and 'romance', and NOT a love for friends, however dear and precious they are. Love for friends is different.

I agree with Soul-Dream when she says we call add a heart if we wish onto song comment pages using an external photo sharing site. But no-one wants you to see who they love more deeply than just as friends (at least they shouldn't) so I won't go down that road.

This will sure make SS a lot of money, but riding on the back of people's feelings for one another. Putting the software in place to add hearts was no doubt soooo easy for a programmer, and easy bucks coming to SS as a result with little effort on their part.

I love Singsnap. I love my wife too, but we don't always have to agree on what we do, but it doesn't spoil the love.

With these 'hearts' people are going to be hurt who receive only a few, or none at all. Just another way to cause hurt, division and strife.

I have received, just now, one heart and a +1 and I do not expect more or wish for more. I'm just here to sing, not play games with people's affections.

I have said enough, and thank you for reading this far down, and now sit back and expect a back-fire by someone who feels defensive and insecure in what I've said.

Hey... yeah, I saw this come out and thought to myself... how embarassing is this going to be to not get any hearts at all... and then someone sent me one and I thought how nice and thank goodness I won't have to sit here all week with no hearts... but I still feel sorry for everyone that didn't get one... and I am curious as all get out as to who sent me one (all my friends are poor like me)... and for those who got 50 of them, did that 51st heart mean anything anymore?
I hated Valentines day as a kid... taking a big bag of valentines' with candy hearts to school and passing them out and worrying if I would get any back... of course, I usually did just because most people gave one to everyone... but still... I remember the stressful feeling...

I am so sorry I can't send at least one heart to everyone so that nobody has to be without one... it must be a horrible feeling...

And I am very thankful that someone thought of me and spared me that horrible feeling... to my secret heart donater, thank you so much!

So, yeah, my thoughts are mixed on the subject...
