What does kb countdown mean on recordings?

I have noticed that sometimes when I record a song I can automatically click the button to check out my performance but other times I get get this...........................Amount of Recording to Send: then here will be a certain number counting down backwards.

Is this due to a lot of people on the SingSnap site? It does not bother me I am just curious why I get this sometimes and other times not?

The most likely reason for this is how much traffic is on the internet between yourself and the recording servers at the time the transfer is made. This happens occasionally for example like sometimes when YouTube is slow.

Also, if you run into this often your upload speeds may be slightly slower than normal during your ISP's peak traffic times. To help avoid this you can do the following.

1. Run the Setup Wizard and complete steps 1-3.
2. In step 4 choose one upload speed slower than the speed detected by the wizard.
3. Complete the wizard and save your settings.

That will reduce the size of the video files and will allow them to upload more quickly. Normally this will prevent or reduce the need to wait for the upload to our servers.
