SingSnap's dynamic duos are not holding anything back! The duets from Round Two were awe inspiring and absolutely fabulous. The judges have been working feverishly to listen to each and every note and we want to take this opportunity to thank them sincerely for passing up an opportunity to participate in this contest, so that they could judge your entries! They have done an incredible job and we're very proud of our Top 20 Finalists!

This is a huge cut, so if you didn't advance please still be very proud of your entry! There were so many stunning duets and the competition is very stiff. You truly were all deserving of your spot and we hope to see you again in future contests!

Round Three Guidelines:

Once again, we urge you to use careful consideration when selecting your song. It should be something that allows both partners to shine and is a great fit for your voices. Carefully read the round requirements below and be sure to complete both Part A and Part B.

Round 3 - Top 20 (Part A): You may sing any song in the SingSnap Catalog that is available to you (except Licensed songs). It can be either a traditional, or non-traditional duet. Both recordings must be sung fresh and for this contest only. Submit only the finished recording on the thread but link the open duet and all layers in the song comment section. Once your entry has been verified and placed on the playlist, you may set the open duet and layers, private if you wish.

Round 3 - Top 20 (Part B): The song you choose must be inspired by one of the following three images. Review the images and take inspiration from either the photo, the quote or both. Select your song based on the image and explain how it inspired you and your partner in the song comment section. You may be as creative as you want in linking the song to the photo but you must put some thought into it. There will be a total of three points awarded for Part B. If you do not link the two, your song will still be accepted but you will risk not receiving any of those three points.

Round 3 Details:

Deadline: 5 PM EST, June 24, 2012.

1. You must sing with the same duet partner as Round One & Two.
2. Both parts of the duet must be sung fresh, for this contest only.
3. Link the original open duet/layers in the song comment section for verification.
4. You may sing any song in the SingSnap catalog available to you with the exception of licensed material and original songs.
5. Submit only the finished recording on this thread by the deadline.
6. Both duet partners' names must be linked on the finished recording.
7. Carefully read the Contest Requirements posted below.
8. Song claiming is not necessary. Duplicate song choices are permitted.
9. Post your duet, in this thread, in the following format:

Contest Requirements:

Due to the nature of the cash prize, we must strictly abide by gaming laws. Please carefully read and review the Long Form Contest Rules prior to entering, to ensure your eligibility.

1. No purchase necessary to enter this contest. This is a skill based contest.
2. The contest will run from June 4, 2012 until July 3rd, 2012.
3. Each contestant must have their own account on SingSnap.com.
4. Contest is open to all members. Blue memberships are free. Blue members have an equivalent chance of winning as that of Gold members
5. You must keep the same partner throughout the contest.
6. Round three entries must be submitted on this thread.
7. The song must be part of the SingSnap catalog.
8. You must sing on the track matching your chosen song.
9. No SingSnap Original or Original music permitted.
10. The song for Round 3 must be dated after this thread has been posted.
11. Each part of the entry must be a fresh recording, for this contest only.
12. Each contestant can only be part of one (1) duet partnership.
13. One Round Three submission per duet team.
14. Promotion of non-contest songs is strictly prohibited.
15. Post your link only once, if you think you've been missed contact the SingSnap Events Team.
16. Web Cams are allowed but not required.
17. Contestants will be judged on vocal performance only. Pitch, Enunciation, Phrasing, Emotional Engagement, and Round Requirements.
18. There are two (1) first place prizes in the amount of $500.00 USD that will be awarded to each member of the winning duet partnership. There are four (4) runner-up prizes (one year Gold memberships valued at US$80.00 each) that will be awarded to each of the members of the second and third place winning duet partnership.
19. All prizes will be awarded on or before July 31, 2012. Cash prizes will be paid to the winners in the form of a US$ money order by registered mail. The Gold Memberships will be applied automatically to the contestants account and notified via Private Messaging when the transaction is complete.The winning entries will be announced in the Round 4 contest thread as well as by video update.
20. The odds of winning each prize is directly related to the number of entrants and the skill level of the participants.
21. The Contest is open only to individuals who are members of SingSnap.com who have reached the age of majority in their respective jurisdiction of residence as of the date of Entry and who do NOT reside in Puerto Rico, U.S. territories and possessions or the Province of Quebec, Canada. This Contest is void wherever prohibited by federal, state, provincial, municipal or local law. You must be eighteen (18) or older to enter this Contest to be eligible to win. Employees and immediate families or household members of Sponsors and their respective parent companies, affiliates and subsidiaries, are ineligible to participate in this Contest.

The Judges:

Judging tends to be subjective since we all hear things differently, have our own tastes, likes and dislikes. We thought we would try to switch things up and keep it fresh by inviting a panel of judges to help us score Round Three! The following seven people are either Staff Members or Prize Winners from previous contests! They have forfeited an opportunity to compete for this fabulous prize in an effort to help us out and give you all a great experience. We think they're all fabulous and talented so please join me in giving our invited panel a huge round of applause!

Judging Criteria!

We are sharing the judging criteria with you, so you are fully aware of the things the judges will be looking for when scoring your finished duet.

Pitch & Tone - 5 Points: Are you singing the song in a pitch/key that suits your voice? Are the individual notes on point? Do you go off key? Does your voice have a pleasant tone that fits the song?

Phrasing/Enunciation - 5 Points: Is your voice clear and concise? Do you sing the song with the correct phrasing? Do you hold and end the notes well?

Emotional Engagement - 5 Points: Do you connect with the song and deliver it with conviction? Make us 'believe' in the song and that you're telling your story.

Vocal Blend - 5 Points: How well do you and your partner sound together? Did the selected arrangement make the song the best it could be? Were there harmonies or anything else to make the song special or stand out?

Picture Inspiration - 3 Points: How well does the picture you selected and the connection you explained in your song comment section, reflect in the song? You can be literal or creative. If the judge totally 'gets it', you'll get all 3 points. If the judges aren't entirely convinced but are on the same wave length, 2 points. If the judges have to squint really hard but still can understand the connection , 1 point. If the judges think you completely missed the mark, you will not be awarded any points. So put some serious thought into selecting your song for this round!
