A PETITION FOR A SINGSNAP JUNIOR

Listed in Website Suggestions.

Post by Steven93GOLD

Its been nearly 2 years since my brother left us. His wish for singsnap was to make a place where kids could show their remarkable talents. I was thinking today that I need to fight for the one thing he thought would make singsnap an even better place to hang out. With summer upon us how about singsnap opening up a venue for kids? It could be up on the tabs, Children's section. It could be parental guided listings for kids to sing, and once they signed in with their age, they could not have access to adult songs. Like my brother, there are a lot of talented children out here on singsnap. As children they should have a safe environment to be heard. Therefore to keep it safe there would be no private message section for the children and comments could be monitored by their own parents. Its an endeavor that my brother sought out and wished for his favorite venue to add. I hope that I can get enough people who truly care about children and helping them to express their talents in song. Please sign this petition to ask singsnap for a Singsnap Junior. For the kids.
Here are my simple reasons and explanations for this place to exist:

1. Gives a child a safe place to sing without being the victim of preditors.
( I wont mention names but Steffi and I had a couple but we were wise enough to block them )

2. Children can hold their own contests and have a fun place to hang out during that time when the adults are at work and cannot be home to supervise.

3. Kids need a place to hang out this summer inside the house where they arent exposed to the heat. Again keeping them safe.

4. Singsnap is fun for kids, I should know, I grew up on singsnap like many others. It kept me out of trouble.

5. Kids want a place of their own. The adult singsnap is great so why not have a great childrens snap?

6. It was FullThrottle's wish.

My thoughts are with those families who have been affected by Oklahoma City Tornado

What a great idea!

I will move this to website suggestions

Cheers Jo

Singsnap Singers Club

although a noble thought per the terms of service children shouldn't be using the service and especially not using the service when their parents are away

2. Age requirements for use of service
YOU MUST BE OVER 13 YEARS OLD TO USE THIS SERVICE. If you are 13 or older but under the age of 18 you should review these terms of use with your parent or guardian and make sure that you and your parent or guardian understand these terms of use. Registering and/or participating in SingSnap is confirmation of your age (over 13 years) and your acceptance of the terms below.

What would be a good idea I think is a thread just with children's songs in,so parents, grandparents and family friends can find them all together and play the kids the songs,I did puff the magic dragon, windmill in old Amsterdam and high hopes and my little nieces love listening to them, would love to just be able to have a play list on in the back ground as they are messing about and singing along :-)

You can set up your own Playlist for your nieces of just Childrens' Songs and those would play one after the other!

The idea of a SS Jr is a good one in some ways, but first the site is 13+ as are many sites and message boards for legal reasons. To have a separate "Jr." site would probably mean additional licensing, the costs of running another sister site, staff, volunteers. I don't think it would/could be a matter of "simply" buying a domain name and getting it hosted/servers set up.
