Hex Code is short for hexadecimal code. Hexadecimal is a positional numeral system with a radix, or base, of 16. It uses 16 symbols, which are most often 0-9 to represent the values zero to nine, and A-F (a-f) to represent values ten to fifteen. A Hex Code is made up of 6 digits. To keep things simple, these 6 digits when put together in various orders represent different colour’s that a web browser can read so that it understands what colour is to use within a code. When using a Hex Code you must always remember to place a # symbol before the 6 digits. Specific colour names can also be used when coding with BBCode, HTML and XHTML. In this Thread you will find not only the colour names but also the Hex code to match that colour.

Below you will find a list of colour names and their Hex Code next to them. For your convenience they have been coded so that the text used for each colour name/Hex Code is the same colour as it will show on your browser. However, some of the lighter colours do not show very well on the forum background and so the colour name/Hex code has been typed out in grey next to those individual colours for your convenience.
