WE ARE ONLY TAKEN 20 GUYS AND 20 GALS

Audition round... to enter the contest you must sing an AUDITION song..This is a harsh contest with harsh rules,2 contestants will be elliminated from each team for 6 rounds INCLUDING the Audition Round .

Audition Round will last until Sunday ..July 8, at 4pm SingSnap Time OR If we get our 20 guys and 20 gals, which ever comes first..

AUDITION SONG FROM THE FLIM/STAGE/TV GENRE..You may pick the same artist but not the same song....PLEASE ENTER SONG THIS WAY...The year and genre will be checked by the judges and the host

AUDITION ROUND...FLIM/STAGE/TV
ROUND 1..POP GENRE - 1970-1979
ROUND 2. COUNTRY GENRE - 1960-1969
BOUNS ROUND
ROUND 3. OLDIES GENRE - 1950-1959
BOUNS ROUND
ROUND 4. DUET ROUND.(each contestant from group A will duet with a contestant from team B)
ROUND 5. THE FINAL..GENDER BENDER AND ONE OTHER SONG

STRICT RULES....ALL RULES MUST BE FOLLOWED...

#1 No pre recorded songs No harmony and No duets Unless it is stated otherwise.
#2 This is an ellimination contest where the host and 2 judges will be voting on your performance.. one will be a secret judge.
IN THE EVENT OF A TIE, SECRET JUDGE MAKES THE FINAL DECISION.
#3...Your recording must be clear and not distorted.
#4...Your singing must be heard above the music and the TV.
#5...Do not audition if you have no intention of completing the contest, be fair and leave the spot open for someone else;
#6... You must be willing to sing songs out of your comfort zone ~ do not DROP OUT because you dont like the song or think you can't sing it

#7... All entries on each round need to be entered ONE HOUR before the round closes so that the judges can assess the entries and total up the scores.
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE AUDITION ROUND....Each round will last 48 hours.. but remember please to have songs in one hour before round ends...(47 hours) anyone who has not put a song it will be disqualified...
#8...Bonus round winners will get a banner at the beginning of round 3 and 4.
#9...The top 3 couples in the DUET round will be awarded a banner at the beginning of round 5.
#10..If you dont like a challenge you are free to OPT OUT at the end of the audition round ONLY ..opting out after that is not allowed... no excuses...

BE AWARE YOU WILL NOT be told by the host or the judges if your song is wrong... You will just be quoted by the rule number so make sure you keep an eye on the thread..
If it is supposed to be an oldies genre and it turn out to be a pop genre you will be disqualified for not reading or following the rules of the contest which are stated quite clearly at the beginning of each round.

No banners will be issued to more than one person in any given bouns round or in the final round...
Single winners at the contest end ...1st 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th place winners
will be announced one within 30 minutes of the contest end
Those who win will deserve to win and will be judge on talent alone

Judging Criteria
a.Voice....up to 10 points
b.Timing....up to 10 points
c.Emotion....up to 10 points
d.Overall Performance and team spirit......... up to 10 points
Bouns rounds will add 10 points to the top 4 high scores in each team

Anyone who is disrespectful to the host or judges or any other contestant will receive no communication and will be removed from the contest immediatly.
No one will be allowed extra time to get songs in....deadline is deadline no exceptions

All contestants are asked to comment on everyone elses song... Without exception...
If people listen to you then play fair and be respectful and listen to others.. Don't just drop your song off and leave unil the round is over

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE READ THE RULES PROPERLY..
ONCE AGAIN....THOSE WHO PUT IN A SONG THAT IS NOT ON THE LIST, OR IS THE WRONG YEAR OR IN THE WRONG GENRE .. WILL BE DISQUALIFTED FOR RULE BREAKING WITHOUT FURTHER WARNING.
