Buffering

The buffering message will appear anytime the song position is within 2% of the loaded song. On most internet connections the song will only buffer once and play all the way through. On slow connections the song may buffer more. The following will help prevent this from happening on slower connections.

1. Open the song you want to play.
2. Click the Play button.
3. Click the Stop button.
4. Let the black loading bar above the Play button load at least halfway.
5. Click Play again.

Well, internet speed and the speed of your computer are two different animals. If you've not had any trouble before you may want to call your internet service provider and have them check your connection.

Just do a speed test @ speedtest.net

my download speed is about 4.7
thats not very fast...but gets the job done most days
a result of 2.0 or below..in my opinion..is slow
a result of say....7.0 ... I would consider quite fast

speedtest.net here is 9.7 which is great .... but i still have issues with this site.....buffering for ever on songs...

not sure if the server change effected this site.. but.. i sit on songs to load a long time..

but my upload speed is much less.. bout half that

I've checked things on our end and everything looks normal. Since you both have good internet speeds and our servers look normal it must be a larger network slowdown somewhere. I am seeing some reported slowdowns in some major backbone networks. Also, the Sprint network is having quite a bit of trouble it would appear.

Hopefully the issues clear up soon.

have issues with your site trying to record and even look at members singing... I think your server has issues..SLOW!!!!!!!!!! I go to other sites... fast and smooth... HERE ... I have ISSUES....
every since i seen your 'server change message"// ISSUES...

I just tried loading one of Joneys song so I could let you know how long it takes me to get all of the song...with a non-video song..it took me 3 seconds to load the song.......
I tried loading one of cowboys songs.....and with a video song...it took 20 seconds.

Iam having issues today with recording songs ( I use the improved recorder)
When I click "record" it just hangs and will not* record
I have to exit...and return a few times..before "record" will engage...

Hi Blane... same problem here.. at times songs will load instantly and sometimes not at all. It is frustrating but I certainly do not blame SS.

SS is an amazing site.. so tend to "nit" pick the small issues.. and frustrating when you try to sing a song or do sing a song you feel is a nice result.. then the song will not follow through with completion... so I run over here to vent , lol.. Like Rob said above ... certain regions may have issues.. so i am crossing my fingers my issues will be fixed ..

One thing I do know, SS Staff does all they can to help out .. even though the issues are out of their hands... so I wanted to mention I really appreciate this ( Staff). There is really no other site in existence that has "hands on " assistance like SS offers... thank you.

I have win7 64bit... I downloaded Adobe version 11.1.102.55 (64bit) ... It was confusing as far as what bit you might download at times, but I have no buffering now on any song I go to .. they are loading instantly... So I pray this continues ...
I thought I had this version already.. apparently it was different.. because my songs are loading very fast... but who knows. I am confused.
