Running behind because my internet has been down. I did verify my selection
on the audition thread but wanted to bring it on over as this RD 1 thread has been opened. (passing each other in cyberland)

CONGRATULATIONS to all of those that advanced and to those that didn't ... you're AMAZING! I'm positive it was a very difficult decision and came down to the most tiny things. I'm sorry that I didn't get a chance to leave all my comments, but I did hear almost everyone. Work's been crazy busy and tons of OT right now so my SS time is limited.

Questions about video effects and what can be used in the video's have been brought to my attention. I will post the guidelines for the video's as soon as I can compile a complete list of what will be allowed so stay tuned. Should have it posted this evening.

I am so excited to see how the rest of this contest pawns out! There are some very outstanding voices in that Top 20 b u t hopefully it will be much easier to judge when everyone is singing the same selection of songs..i think anyways! Best of luck to you all! Remember guys, this is where it's gonna get really tough on you...You have to bring your best, your really best. When you record your video, and go back to watch and listen, if you hear or see anything that isn't quite right.....if it were me.....and it has been many times......GO BACK AND DO IT AGAIN.....AND AGAIN.....AND AGAIN.....till you've got the very best YOU can do. We are gonna be watching and listening to every DETAIL of the song......I can't stress this enough....this is gonna be one of the toughest competitions you've ever been in......think..in your head.....the name ......SIMON COWELL..Everything counts, EVERYTHING......Please read all the rules for your video....and follow them very closely. Good luck to everyone of you, cause you are already the best of the best.....

Video guidelines:
*Any video effect in the singsnap recorder can be used.
*Any video effect in any other webcam program can be used.
*Slideshows are not allowed.
*'still' images can be used here and there as long as they are brief and do not take up majority of the video.
*Side by side (harmony) recordings are allowed. But one side needs to be dedicated to the verses and one side dedicated to harmony. You CANNOT split the verses up between the split screens.
*The video must be centered around YOU. You must be the main focus of the video. Any effects used must not impair the panel members' ability to fully see you performing.
*Effects are not necessary, they are simply an option.
*You will be scored on a scale of 1-15. 1-10 points will be scored for your singing and 1-5 points will be scored for visual presentation.
ANYONE AND ANY RECORDING THAT IS THOUGHT TO BE USING A PRERECORDING OR IS SUSPECTED OF USING ANYTHING OTHER THAN THEIR OWN VOICE WILL BE SUBJECT TO IMMEDIATE ELIMINATION.

Just get you a nice Logitech webcam. You don't need an expensive Microsoft webcam or anything like that. I've used my logitech for about 4 years now, paid 30 for it. Anything cheaper than 30 or so you probably want to stay away from, but I wouldn't spend over 40 if I were you. There's some out there for 60 and up, it's crazy.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE LOGITECH 270 H IT IS A GREAT CAM AND NOT EXPENSIVE AND EASY TO USE! IF YOU NEED SOME HELP SETTING IT PM AND I WILL TRY IT IS AT WALMART FRO 35 BUCKS I JUST GOT ONE AND LOVE IT!

Your'e welcome. We're here to help. Please keep us posted about your webcam. Since you've never used a cam and since you don't have one yet, we may be able to provide you an extra day or two to get your entry in if you feel you may need it. But if it comes down to it and you aren't able to get one please let us know as early as possible because we will have to use an alternate in your position if you aren't able to produce a video entry. They are required and it wouldn't be fair to the other contestants. Good luck and we hope you can get the cam set up!

Please acknowledge your TOP20 selection by posting here on the thread or by messaging me. Any position not verified by July 6th at midnight will be replaced with an alternate.
