Hiya...
At the bottom of every page on SingSnap there is a link to the song requests form....

Suggestion
When requesting songs........an automatic reply should be sent stating why?
I have requested a couple of songs , and none were loaded.
Maybe they were lic, unavailable or my request hasn't been looked at.
This would save time for whom ever is reading these requests, and also stop the person from keep sending the same requests again :)

Hugs to my friend for the gracious gift mood username. :)
^^^Agreed, as well suggested in General Discussion not long ago.
It could be as simple as once you type your request, a page comes up stating, 'Thanks for your request! This song has been requested many times and is LIC restricted but we will try our best as this changes often.' And this for those not LIC restricted, 'Thanks for your request! Many have requested this song and we are working on adding it on SingSnap!'

^^^^Agree also. I have requested literally dozens of songs that have not been loaded. It would be nice to know why so that I don't keep having to request the same songs over and over. Also does SS continually look at the sources for their songs? I know of several songs that I have requested which are available from karaoke companies which SS currently don't work with but perhaps they should?

From my knowledge of having worked on this in the past.....I don't think it is feasible to answer every request individually....basically because of the sheer number of requests that will be put forward....they would be spending most of their time answering people instead of trying to find the tracks.....and I don't think a robotic answer would work for this either....every request will probably have a different answer in terms of the reason it cannot be added.....so they would need to be answered manually......Perhaps it is just me....but I would rather Tony and his team spent the time getting the tracks....
Just as a point of reference....I have often gone to the sites of the makers of the tracks and put in requests...not once have I ever had a reply in any shape or form......so the way things are done around here with regards to dealing with requests is not uncommon......
As frustrating as it may be....there are loads of reasons a request would not be added....but the main one.....is that the song itself is just not available in the proper format.......When companies like Zoom or Sunfly make their tracks....they are based on popularity......so if you are requesting something obscure.....chances are....its not even available as a karaoke track........
Perhaps if you know your songs are available from other suppliers....then it would be a good suggestion to put in a website suggestion via the feedback page and let them know where these tracks are........

Hiya Katie. A lot of the songs I have requested are well known songs by well known artists. For example "I Got My Game On" & "Ala-Freakin-Bama" by Trace Adkins and "All About Tonight" by Blake Shelton, hugely popular songs by hugely popular Country artists and yet they are not on here despite my having requested them numerous times. So it's not as if I'm asking for something obscure. Yes I appreciate some of the more obscure ones I've asked for (stuff by Runrig for example) may be harder to get hold of that I understand, but to not be able to get hold of a couple of the most popular songs by two of Americas most popular country artists seems a bit strange.

Well my dear.....those are obscure to me...because I have never heard of any of them...LMAO!.......Something is only popular....if it has appeal to a wide audience.....so thinking about that concept.....country..while hugely popular in the states...is not really that popular elsewhere.....when do you ever see a country track in the charts in Scotland for example?...with the exception of the pop country artists like Taylor Swift or Shania Twain......
Not all karaoke track providers do a lot of country....I know Chartbuster did...but they stopped making any new tracks a while before they were bought out.....so you might find that the new company will start producing some new stuff....I don't mean new as in new music....more like new tracks...if you know what I mean....so it may well be worthwhile going to them directly and giving them your suggestions too.....
What makes me laugh actually....is that some obscure tracks are really quite popular.....and these suppliers continue to make tracks by artists that will be forgotten in a couple of years time...like the x factor finalists for example......instead of making the popular older tracks that people actually want to sing.......
I would absolutely love Runrig stuff here...I've seen them live 8 times...lol...but I doubt they are actually that well known outside of Scotland.....

Actually you'd be surprised Runrig are well known in places like Germany, Belgium and Canada :) A few Runrig tracks would be brilliant, only seen them once but have heaps of their albums especially the earlier stuff with Donny.
But bearing in mind that this is an American based site and the majority of people on here are Americans I'm surprised they can't get the songs I asked for, none of which are brand spanking new either. They have 67 songs by Trace Adkins on here, they can't get 2 that I asked for?? Or at least can they explain why they can't get those particular songs thats all I'm asking for.

They are actually a Canadian based site Bob.......
I agree...a fair amount of the members here are American......
Its not just to do with the artists though...with regards to Licenses.....its mostly to do with the songwriters and publishers......if a songwriter says nope...I don't want my song to be used for karaoke.....then there is nothing anyone can do about it...So...just because there may be many songs by one artist....there could be reasons why others are not here.......for example...not all artists write their own songs....and some may record different songs written by lots of different people.....then there are the publishers...who...in their wisdom decide that certain songs can only be sung in certain countries.....I will never understand that.....for example....The Rolling stones are very well known globally....their hits sold worldwide.....but.....you can't record their songs if your in a certain country....it is madness.......
Not saying that is the case of the ones you are talking about....but its just an example....
Also keep in mind...that us here in the UK have the great advantage of having access to a lot of stuff that others don't.......but...if you reverse that....they also probably have access to stuff we don't.......so there may lie your problem....they might already be here...but are lic'ed.....probably for the very reasons I mentioned above......or...they are not held by one of the track suppliers SingSnap uses.......again...its not just a case of them being able to go anywhere to get tracks either....there are a lot of legalities involved......

I haven't noticed a thread for requesting new songs.... If I am missing something I am very sorry.
I was wondering why you haven't gotten Jewels song "Ment to Be" and why I can't find the song from Titantic "My Heart Will Go On" anymore? Also looking for "I Love You Like A Love Song" by Selena Gomez.. You should also put on a link for NEW Release Top 40 Songs:) Would be really cool...
