I have a question... Why is it that we Patrons pay full price for the people we sponsor? Wouldn't it be more fair of Sing Snap to absorb a bit of the cost? It doesn't seem right that people are thanking Sing Snap for these awards when they don't discount this gift even one cent. Just saying...

I have to agree with you, now on that question Cliff. I'm not sure this is the correct thread to address that in though.

We can definitely appreciate where you're coming from and how that would make sense in the case of manufactured goods where buying materials in bulk to create a product in bulk brings the cost of manufacturing down and the savings can be passed onto the consumer.

SingSnap is not a manufactured item however, and in fact, the more people "purchase", the more it costs us to "manufacture" our goods. In other words...the more members we have, the more songs get recorded and stored, the higher our storage and like costs. There are no bulk savings to pass onto you guys.

To offset those costs we could:

A) Eliminate free memberships thereby reducing storage costs
B) Raise prices on existing memberships
C) Offer voluntary contributory items such as patron fund, sponsoring and hearts, etc.

We find C to be the most community friendly as it is not compulsory and it allows for our members to give something to each other while also allowing SingSnap to keep the lights on. :)

WOw Listen to some of these people... They do something nice for someone like sponcering them, and now they want something back from Sing Snap!!! YOu are nuts. YOu sponcer smeone out of the goodness of your heart not to gain something for it. if that were the case, people would be making other deals with members to sponcer them at a reduced price, and get the money from the other member qand sing snap would lose money... causing them to have to raise the prices again. just so you can feel you got something for sponcering someone. you want a kickback??? get it from the person you sponcered.!!!!!!!!!

I don't think anyone is being hypocritical. The question is definitely a valid one and one I hope I addressed satisfactorily. One thing to keep in mind is that we do offer "bulk" rates where possible such as discounted rating when you purchase more than one month, the hearts tokens are sold in bulk, etc.

We definitely appreciate everyone's feedback. We are looking at ways that we can better reward our patrons for their generosity to their fellow members however that is not likely to lead to a price reduction at this time as our costs remain the same whether a member is sponsored or purchases on their own?

"These people" are politely asking questions. What does this have to with you? Name calling is in very poor taste. No one here is nuts, or a hypocrite and until you came, no one was rude either. Peace.

So is it too late to be a beggar? I am a musician with a 4 year old and thats why I cant afford to pay, but either way I am glad I can be a free member and be apart of it anyway. Thanks for keeping a free members section open!
