I just love Christmas!!

I'm bummed, because I tried doing this on cam but for some reason my stooooopid computer isn't finding it! And if it does find the cam, I go thru, record the entire song, and when it comes time to send it to the mixer, it just sits there and won't go! Grrrrrrrrrrr!!

For this round, we're interested to see how well you can adapt. You may sing any song in the SS library with any of the required words for your main song. This time, we want you to flip the switch while recording. Sing every other verse of the song in a different octave. You'll start the song in your regular comfortable octave, that fits your voice. The next verse you'll go either up or down one octave, then the next verse go back to your regular octave.

If you don't know what an octave is, if you have access to a musical instrument (a piano is best to demonstrate), hit the middle C on the keyboard. Notice that this C is 8 notes (excluding the black keys) from both the upper C and the lower C. Each of these is an octave. So when you're singing, your voice should jump 8 notes higher or lower to do this exercise.

You will be judged once again, the same as for your main song. So make it good. Be sure to stay in tune as you switch from one to the other octave. And if you can, you may even do several octaves...you need a pretty good range to do it, but if you've got the range, we want to hear it! Good luck!

On July 3rd, 1971, Doors singer Jim Morrison was found dead in a bathtub in Paris, the cause of death was given as a heart attack. On the 25th anniversary of his death an estimated 15, 000 fans gathered at Pere Lachaise Cemetery in Paris to pay their respects.
