A LICENCE TO DUET
Now you are paired off as listed below with a partner to sing a duet.
We want you to select any ‘LIC’ song which is NOT a listed duet and make it one. Then tell us what you found both the easiest and most difficult part to make your duet. An example is that singing with each other was hard but not your single part of the song etc.
This is not connected to scoring on the main event so you are allowed to select artists and songs either partner has already performed as long as they are ‘LIC’. Remember this is a duet and requires you both to sing alone and together in your performance.
Please send in your recording by WEDNESDAY 14th MARCH 14.00 BST and the results will be announced at 18.00BST
Diva_chic and APH will be your judges
There will be banners for the winners (there must be more than one) and participants.
To work on your recording with each other open an inner circle section (mine = Private for example) and just select your names as being the only ones able to listen, so you can do what you want. Once you have your recording ready just take it out of inner circle and make it public to have yourselves up and running.
Most of all remember this is for enjoyment, so do not doubt your ability to sing with another friend.

Moi, moi warblers
First I would like to apologize to our Duet friends. The draw was done last night and ready to be put up and I simply forgot I had not pressed those important buttons which allow everybody to see, so here it is. You will note I have extended the time by one day for putting in your entries.
The draw was done by Suzi and myself and because we had two extra ladies, both both 'curny' and 'Snebbie' have joined two ladies each. They should know better but this is what elder gentlemen like.
If anybody has any problems with their duet just PM either Suzi or myself.

That leaves 33 so make sure you do not miss out on these extra points for not only your team but yourselves.

This is the general situation after round one and remember some have taken the 10 point bonus already while others are yet to claim.

Good question! since I did the first half and my partner will be finishing it off, I will write my thoughts, send them to him and have him copy and paste it into the section where he writes his thoughts on it. :D

Tony,

I was very impressed by the 1962 video of The Rolling Stones you put up. The other day I saw the broadcast of a live concert they gave somewhere in Germany.

When comparing the looks of the founding fathers in both movies even a blind man can see that Charlie Watts and even Mick Jagger - despite the rough lives they've been living - seem to have aged at half the speed Keith Richards has. The difference is really astonishing!

The other comment I'd like to make ... well, actually it's more a speculation than a comment, really ... is that having seen the 1962 video I think I know where Michael Jackson may have got the inspiration for inventing his famous "Moonwalk". No offence meant to Michael, but he may well have taken Mick Jagger's footwork as the basis for it. Just watch the video and pay careful attention about 53 seconds into it.

Then tell me if I got it right or wrong (hypothetically speaking, of course)!

Good to see we are up and running with the first Duet and that between the girls they have worked out how to combine their messages.
Well regarding Snebbies remarks, some people wear better than others especially when lifestyles are much heavier but what is really interesting to me is seeing our golden oldie performers. It is a great pity that our younger talent relies on great visual presentations to succeed and are limited on how to really entertain, which is a little sad as they still have masters to learn from.I agree totally on the remarks regarding Mr.Jackson who was very quick to realize how to entertain people. I would never have paid to go and see somebody like him but he was certainly a special performer.
All done for the moment.
